Welcome to my channel! In this video, I will be performing Ferdinando Carulli’s Allegretto in E Major No. 14 from his Method Op. 241.
Carulli was an Italian composer and guitarist renowned for his contributions to classical guitar music during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His compositions are known for their delightful melodies and intricate harmonies, captivating audiences for generations.
Carulli's Op 241 Method contains many great study pieces. These include Allegretto No. 14, which has a very playful musical character and gives the opportunity to practice a number of techniques, such as short fast arpeggios, or the use of damping and articulation. These cannot be mastered early enough to be able to execute them later without problems.

Thank you Antony! There are plenty of ways to play this. My version is one, but I think the point is always to approach even simple pieces like this creatively.

Dear Michael! Thank you. Yes, it's a beautiful piece and a student can learn a lot from it, especially how to play repetitive material creatively and always a little differently. That's why I always give it to my students.

Kedves Borbála! Mindig.... biztos vagyok benne úgy ahogy a többieket is, engem mindig lenyűgöz ahogy gitározik! Azt hiszem egyetértene velem aki csak hallotta ezt a videót abban, hogy ezek az egyébként, gyönyörű darabok még szebbek lesznek az Ön előadásában. Köszönöm ezeket a feltöltéseket! Már nagyon várom a következő " varázslatot". További sok sikert kívánok a Művésznőnek! Gardalino

The best thing is the arpeggiated tremolo in the final part. I don't know how you play without looking at the guitar.

Dear Miguel! Yes, I like that part too. It's just a matter of getting used to playing without looking at the guitar, and of course 30 years of practice 😁.

Why do you play songs from method for students? It is too easy for you. Moreover it must be boring for you.
@borbalaseres
@borbalaseres 9 ай бұрын
Dear Glenn! I do play more serious works/etudes too, but the point is that many people are learning to play guitar on their own and in many cases are looking for inspiration/good examples even for these simple learning works, of which there are countless extremely unmusical, boring and bad performances on youtube. These small works are really boring if one does not bother to show the repetitive parts creatively and a little differently, or if one plays everything in a way that is typical of many, without articulation and therefore without charaters. That's why I play them, to show inspiration and musical ideas, because when else does one learn to play colourfully and creatively if not in simple learning pieces.

@@borbalaseres ok I understand better now why you play these kind of songs, to show to your students an example of interpretation and musicality. Something they can play themselves, because in other pieces with a high level of skill, they must feel frustrated and unable to play. Thanks for your reply, now my curiosity is satisfied. Whatever you play, Borbala, we follow you anyway. ♥️
