I wish Diana Gabaldon would make more books covering the intervening 20+years between "Outlander" and "Voyager". The book "Dragonfly in Amber" gives a few glimpses into those 20 years, but really only one of young Fergus having his hand cut off and the immediate aftermath, then we don't see Fergus again until he is a grown man and a dashing smuggler determined to marry Jamie's stepdaughter in "Voyager". I'm sure Fergus got up to all sorts of hi-jinks with Ian Murry's sons as he was growing up on Lallybroch, and probably gave Jenny lots of her grey hair that she has when Claire finally meets her again.
