Ferguson TEF 20 diesel pump service

Brilliant video on the fuel pump. Do you have a follow up on how you got on afterwards. My diesel 20 is not starting yet fuel is at the pump. What’s next in tracking the problem? Bear in mind I’m not a mechanic.

Ye I've a few videos on the 20 afterwards If there's diesel coming out both bleed screws on the pump it should run open the injectors pipes and crank it see if there's diesel coming out

Hi, do you have to mark the position of the pump before removing? If so would you explain the procedure please.

Just mark the position on the pump body where it bolts on then once pump is removed Mark the rotor and don't rotate the engine it slots back in reverse of removal

I got the diafram online from Clifford tractor supply in Kerry Everything else was cleaned and sealed up with dirko sealant Petrol and an air line cleaned up the diesel gauzes like new then I bled the pump a good bit to make sure it was clean diesel

Hello there... the two small bleed bolts on the housing you loosen to check if fuel is flowing properly, is this done with the engine running?

Also, is this a simple dismantle, clean and reassemble job? Is there any special resetting up that needs to be done?

@@stewartleadley34 no just with the engine off diesel should gravity flow out so should be a nice drop coming out Ye just a good clean screws can be tight so a couple taps on the screwdriver with a hammer does the job

@@stewartleadley34 no setting anything should be perfect with just a good clean and check diafram isn't split or tractor wont idle properly

Hi there, I've just rebuilt my TEF 20 injection pump and its filling the back chamber up with fuel but nothing is coming into the front chamber do you know why this is happing ?

Hi Ethan have you cleaned the filters inside the pump?
