In the last line when it goes from C to C sharp would you recommend the normal fingering or the 0 finger one written in the music?

Good question! I actually use neither the open nor the conventional option. For ease of transitioning between C and C#, I keep down RH 1, 2, and 3. That helps both with technical ease and sound uniformity.

What’s your method of going from the low Eb to low B on the B arpeggio?
@oboeash5 жыл бұрын
In this example, since it's descending, I use the left D# with my fingertip and press the low B key with the next metacarpal down. If it were ascending instead, then I would feel more comfortable sliding from the low C to low D# key on the right hand, but I find it's much less reliable going from D# to C with the right hand. This conundrum is addressed with my "Attack of the Killer B's" warm up. Have you seen the video of that one? Does my explanation make sense? I hope it helps and I appreciate you asking.

Aaron Hill Oboe thanks so much! I will definitely start practicing that movement. And I’ll be sure to check out that video.

Do you have any tips on where to breathe ?
@oboeash5 жыл бұрын
Just on the rests, if possible. To build confidence with those durations, try playing a long tone while listening to this video so all you're having to do is maintain breath control. Let me know how that goes for you.
