Respected mam. Mam i want to ask a question. The definition of fermi level is different for semiconductor and conductor or not. I think diffrent. Because in metal the top most filled level is fermi level at abs zero. But in case of semiconductor it is the avg energy by both the charge carriers which are responsible for conduction. Thats why in intrinsic semiconductor the no of hole and electron same. So fermi level is almost middle. But to calculate probability the fermi dirac dist function is same for the conductor and semiconductor. Mam i'm right or not confirmed to me.
