What the hell happened with the Jabeur Ostapenko highlights? Everything was going fine up until 6-5 in the first set and then bam, only two more points get shown? 😂

The same with the Bencic Sramkova match. 2-3 in the second set then the next point its 5-1 in the third 😭

The Fernandez match was much closer than I thought it would be. Iwojima played like she had an equal ranking to Fernandez, considering she was a lucky loser. Clever shot making. It was like watching Leylah play herself!

LAF easily top 15 player if and when her serve becomes a weapon and not a liability. Know she has worked on it a ton, but a different perspective and voice might make the difference in her achieving a new level.

Leylah one of the most interesting player to watch. At age 20, athlete type gonna be into 'creativity' to show how good they are, but also win with it. Leylah in certain situation, she do SAME, and that like a mark of 'artist.' 'Same' and you really into tinkering intelligently. Plus. Us Open Finalist. And people think she like any other player lose Finals of big one. And. She a qualifier. She get more from finalist, than most get from winning. And she under radar. People think they know her and they don't. Definitely one of most interesting players to observe, as oppose to watch. Something bery interesting going on in her experience of profession.

What is the point in holding tournaments where no one wants to watch the games - so depressing to see empty stadiums

Very poetic for Emma to lose R1 after being given Sonobe's main draw WC, yet Sonobe who went through qualifying is in R2.
@robertmartin75945 сағат бұрын
I can remember when a 'qualifier' won a much more important event without dropping a set, (very poetic in deed). Let's see whether Sonobe is capable of winning a 500 event ??

@robertmartin7594 humans are designed to progress as we get older. Anyone who's best version of themselves was 4 years ago is bound to be unhappy as living in the past, wishing for past self, isn't a good way to live.

She should have declined the WC and gone though qualifying. She needs the match practice which she isn't going to get by losing in R1. of main tournaments

I admire leylah’s drive and shotmaking but her serve, could it be any worse. She’s a top 10 player with a top 200 serve, sadly my wonderful girl you are doomed to languish in the 30 to 40 tier for your tennis life. You are still fun to watch though.
@TennisBuff5 сағат бұрын
I think there is more wrong with Leylah's game than just her serve. She hasn't developed since that US open. Not willing to make the necessary changes in coaching to take her to the next level. She is working harder not smarter

i love leylah too!!! but sadly, if she doesn’t change her coach and management, she will be stuck in top30-50.

@ Yep, that I also feel is true. Having a parent so involved in ones career has never really worked out that well in tennis. I watched how her Dad never stopped talking during the Billy Jean King cup, so bad that she could have had a few time violations and sometimes she looked a bit shook up. Very good point!

The umpire in Ostapenko vs Jabeur match is complete joke. And the name of this joke of umpire is Kader Nouni. He is complete embarrassment to tennis society. He is delusional loser and cheater. He unfairly towards Ostapenko officiated this match, applied the rules, called the lines and awarded points. He only to Jabeur awarded points for her winners and opponent's unforced errors. He clearly didn't award same points to Ostapenko. He clearly didn't apply same rules to Ostapenko as he did to Jabeur. He preferred Jabeur winning this match than Ostapenko. Each time when Ostapenko had chances to win first and second set he took away points from Ostapenko. This umpire must be fired and imprisoned or at least fined for such dishonesty towards Ostapenko.

Give an eg please. A real example with a timestamp. Kader Nouni has been umpiring for decades.
