Fernando Alonso en Ferrari - The unfinished story

I still cant begin to imagine how Alonso was able to get even remotely close to Vettel driving those red Firetrucks. Simply an amazing driver. His situation at Ferrari reminded me a lot of Alesi's. Just a very talented driver hindered by his own car.

Yes with a good car alesi was amazing but from 1991 to 1995 ferrari was not really good, that's why prost left them

***** True. But Prost was fired because he was willing to criticize the car. He openly said what was wrong in an effort to push the mechanics to fix the issues. The team didn't like where he took it and fired him.

Prost saw which way it was going in the 1991 season and left. He wasn't called the Professor for nothing. Alonso I'm afraid isn't as smart as Prost was. A really good driver also has to have the ability to develop the car into a winner. Ferrari only seemed to be getting worse while he was driving for them. Either he is at fault for not being able to use Ferrari's immense facilities to improve the car or Ferrari simply sucks for not being able to give him a good enough car - and that makes him stupid for enduring with them for five seasons as he clearly lacks judgment. The best drivers end up in the best cars. Funny how he always seem to be in "bad cars". Vettel did really well in 2015 driving the Ferrari. Winning 3 races and 13 podiums. Ferrari's reliability won him a lot of podiums and points over the seasons. Vettel was pushed out of the race by Webber in Turkey and retired from two more races while leading (both of which Alonso inherited) in 2010 otherwise he'd easily win that title. In 2012 6 different cars won and the field was pretty evenly matched since no car really dominated. Vettel just did a better job. And right now "the very talented driver" was beaten by Jenson Button, both driving a bad car. So much for his talent with getting the best out of bad cars. Let's see if he can beat Button in 2016...

Besides driver deaths and injuries and things like that, Alonso career is the saddest story possibly in F1 history. Alonso has the heart and spirit of a Senna, Villeneuve, and Alesi with the speed and talent of Schumi, Hamilton, Senna. He only had the best car in F1 for around 1 year in his whole career parts of 2005 and 2006.

You're looking at the stats, but if you really see the season you'll realize that Red Bull had a very superior car, and Fernando was doing "magic" all the entire season as we can see comparing his points with Massa, a very good rider and his teamate that season, exactly 156 points (278 - 122). That's why he's one of the greatest, because he can have great results without having the best car (even he tries it in Mclaren with a really fucking bad car xd)

Turboi 11 It seems like this was only one season though. Even Frentzen nearly won the title in a Jordan in 1999. Kimi nearly won in a 1 year old McLaren in 2003. 2012 was more Red Bull messing up early on, rather than Fernando doing well in my opinion.
