I had never heard this song but our church's worship pastor played and🎉 sang it this past spring at my Mom's memorial service. It's beautiful and everyone has such moving stories in the comments. I miss my mom every day and this is so hard for me to commit to sometimes especially because she died from a sudden and violent accident. But I know God gave her life in this world and it was His sovereign right to call her home. I had a lot of anger that came from my love for her and seeing her suffer but someone reminded me that the Father watched His son suffer to bring us peace with Him. Job 13:15...Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.

Yesterday I set a specific time to meet with the Lord this morning. I set my alarm but I was awake much earlier and kept thinking, am I going to forget it and turn the alarm off and go back to sleep? I didn't. And eventually it went off. I had a few minutes of ignoring it but, by God's grace, I sat bolt upright and set my mind to do what I'd committed myself to, and a piece of music immediately came in to my head. I could not think what it was and I think I did ask the Lord, 'what is that?' Then it came, 'and by His good grace I will praise Him still.' Thank You, our wonderful, faithful Saviour. The earth was dark '. . . and the Spirit of God brooded over the face of the waters.' When the morning comes on the farthest hill I will sing His Name I will praise Him still. For the LORD, our God, He is strong to save from the arms of death, from the deepest grave; (can't remember the next bit!! but . . .) and by His good grace I will praise Him still. Thank you, Fernando. And may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' Amen. What a good morning.

I’m sure this year has been as much of a trial for everyone else as it has been for me; deceit, lies, unfaithfulness, loss of home and family, yet God has been so faithful in protecting me from the virus, enabled me to forgive and go on without bitterness, giving me a new start with faithful friends new and old. And He is increasing my growth and understanding with a new hunger for His Word. GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS, O GOD MY FATHER!
