Ferncliff Peninsula Trail Ohiopyle State Park PA And Exploring the Low & High Bridges

Join us as we hike on the Ferncliff Peninsula in Ohiopyle State Park on the Ferncliff trail. This is a loop trail that traverses the peninsula and has multiple views of the Youghiogheny River.
We also include a visit to the "low bridge" that is 35 feet above the river, and the "high bridge" that is 105 feet above the river where we see some rafters & kayakers attempting the rapids. This area is part of the rail trail through Ohiopyle State Park.
We stop for an awesome view of the waterfalls during our lunch break.

Have you ever been to Greenbank, WV? The Greenbank Observatory is there but the cool thing is that no one is allowed to have tech of any kind there because it affects the observatory. So people go here for the quiet peace they have and also people who are sensitive to emf’s with poor health come here to recover from their emf illnesses. There was a movie about it. So no cell, no Wifi, no cordless phones, no anything. It’s like a step back in time. I think you might like it there. Any tech you have must be turned off as they scan the area and they can pinpoint who is using electronics and you’re in some trouble if they catch you, LOL

It seems sturdy, no wabbly May I ask What is this yellow marker ? 3:45 12 is on it Oh, High Bridge is built with woods, too? 5: 26 Certainly you are at the higher place...Yahoo...beautiful gorge for my curiosity, "Youghioghony" river...What is this name's origin??? Oh Whitewater rafting 6:27 haha reminds me of my own rafting and kayaking on the whitewater...it is thrilling!! It's nice shaded hiking trail.. Oh. some challenges?? 11:12 Did I just hear a train? 14:07 Not only the view but also the sounds of the water are awe-moments. The landscape/ rock formation is incredible, too It is such a splendid hiking trail. Did you se any sign of Autumn lately? We are having cool morning and evening. I've been watching a lot of your videos on the down low. Recently started camping with a trailer and watching your videos of PA state parks. I'm from the Harrisburg area. This looks like a nice park. How's the camping?

Glad you like them! We have camped here before - and it was a very nice campground. We will give you a heads up - especially if pulling a camper - the campground is at the TOP of the mountain - and it is QUITE steep to get up there - and MOST of the things to do are at the bottom of the mountain - Happy Camping!
