Amazing tour! It's been over 20 years since I was in Ferndale. Grew up there in the 70's and 80's. The Corner Bar & Grill used to be my fathers gas station. So much has changed. Farmer Jacks is now apartments and more. But the classics like the Library Book Store are still there. That place was my haven growing up.

Thanks for featuring my home town….. I’ll be 61 in January went all through school in Ferndale…Elementary thru High school..Was a great place to grow up as a kid… Ferndale had the coolest hobby shop and Pet store in the 70’s….. Como’s has been around as long as I can remember….. I’ve ridden my bike everywhere around town… In 1984 When the Tigers won the World Series, Woodward Ave was crazy!…. Also Ferndale is one of the first communities to start the Woodward Cruise…. Proud to be from Ferndale…….☮️

Lived in Ferndale too. A few places actually in the city. It's nice - very close to Royal Oak and is pretty well centered to reach any of the cities from Detroit and the Northern suburbs.

I used to enjoy going to Como's in Ferndale for their excellent pizza!! If you are ever near Lakeside Mall on Hall Road I'd be curious to know what business's and food places are still left inside!

That's awesome! I haven't been inside Lakeside Mall in over a year, so I'm not sure what is left inside there. When I was last there though, there were a lot of stores closed, but there were still quite a bit in there.
