Hey guys, there is a ferry across to Portimão that still operates and the best bet for a train stop would actually be Ferragudo station (not Estombar-Lagoa). Check www.cp.pt for more info and tickets.

I’m from Lisbon. I went down to Algarve to hunt for houses and I stopped in Faro and I loved it. It is really pretty lovely little town. There’s a new development opening up outside of Farragudo. That looks very promising.

Great Video Nick! There’s so much to love about Ferragudo! One thing I would add here is that in the summer months there is absolutely nothing better than kicking back in Club Nau (on Praia Grande) with your friends and a few cold drinks whilst the kids play in the sand! Especially the sunsets over the water to Portimao 😊 👌🏼💯

Hi Nick! Also a South African expat, living in London but looking to move to Portugal in the next 2-3 years. Where would you say in the Algarve the best value houses are? Thanks in advance!

Wow, it's such a big area but I guess the best value is further from the coast. In villages like Salir, Tor, Messines etc.

Hi Nick, We enjoyed the small ferry from Portimao to Ferragudo. There were also, a grouping of stores just north of the water walking to the train so going over the bridge might not be needed for larger stores like Lidl...check that because I may be wrong.

Hey Nick , just wondering where you would recommend purchasing an apartment in the Algarve . We would like something near beaches , preferably walkable or at least by bike (within maybe 1-2km) our price range is about 150-200,000 for a T1 or T2 if possible . Was looking at Portimão at first but we will be living most of the year in northern Portugal and this will just be a vacation place and be rented out most of the year so I was afraid maybe Portimão wouldn’t get quite as much interest for rentals . Another couple places we looked into were Albufeira which I know can be quite busy in season and Quarteira . Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you
@AlgarveAddicts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, all three of those places are good bets. Throw in Lagos as well.

Can you please tell more about whether one would need a car there? Are there good buses over to Continente, the shopping malls, etc?

"Angrinha" means CROW; "Infanta" is the daughter of the king who does not inherit the crown, not infant; "Molhe" is JETTY; "Afurada" refers to a fural or license granted to a town to self govern (middle ages); "Torrado" means toasted as in a burned toast; "Caneiros" means a canal for water overflow; "Pintadinho" means painted with ink; "Mato" means bush. I do appreciate your creativity in coming up with such explanations for the names of the Ferragudo beaches... Please, don't be creative in such way...
@denissantos88202 жыл бұрын
Angrinha could also be a cove or inlet, Angra. I think it's named after the crow. I will ask next time I am in Ferragudo. 🇵🇹😁🌈💯
