So in 1990 I looked at a bank foreclosure 308. $20K. When the bank takes a Ferrari it must be a problem. Took pics. Went to the Ferrari dealer in Dallas. He pointed out a missing acorn nut on a head. I knew, right away (owned an E-Type Jaguar) that if one could not replace a simple thing like that, there was going to be trouble. Sure enough, an estimated $20K more, for all the deferred maintenance that was never done, and I would have a $30k car. So I passed. As Adam Merlin said, you really have to look into these cars. Some people buy them for the status and never maintain them. They are not car people. They are status seekers. In Dallas - who would have suspected?

Dallas is SUPER into status. Walk around with a dress shirt/nice sweater in downtown area, and then walk around with a nice outfit that isn't semi formal... Mad different experience.

very important to make sure all the maintenance and upkeep has been done at pepboys each year. don't trust anyone else or a "local" mechanic.

Many private sellers post their cars in the classifieds section, most of which have been kept up well by careful owners. Here is my advice never buy one of these underpowered handmade pos ever.... we had one new in 1982 and it was terrible then, 225 hp 208 torque it was before good computers and terrible hp I think my dad paid 90-108k then it was a lot the 280 zx turbo was 16k nicer faster car then
