I have such very vivid memories of this car. I built it back in the 1980's - I was 14 or 15. I was new to this level of model and the chrome parts of this model were my nemesis. I had an awful time and CA glue was not even a thing in my corner of the world back then. I just recall fingerprints on the chrome parts caused by the all new Revell Contacta liquid glue I had received with this kit - until then all that was available to me was squeeze tube glue. It has been a wonderful pleasure to see, what was considered in my youth as the hottest car on 4 wheels, this model built so flawlessly. I did notice, however, at 9:09 you suffered the same misadventure I had with the left side mirror that snapped off ..... I feel your pain. Thank you so much for sharing. I should perhaps try and redo this model if I can get hold of one.

Hey man, absolutely stunning build of this legendary Ferrari! Such an iconic car driven by, in my opinion, the most legendary Ferrari driver, Gilles Villeneuve. Your build truly honors both the car and the driver! I’m really impressed by how flawless the paint job looks, especially with that glossy finish, even over the decals. Do you use any kind of clear coat and polish to achieve that effect? Is there any other technique and/or material you use to get such an incredible result?
