When restoring these engines, is there anything that you can do to prevent the head studs from sticking in the future?
@tomyangnet3 жыл бұрын
@@Wriggs1898 the new head gaskets encircle the head studs so less water can weep between the cylinder head and block lessening this problem, but knowing if it lessens the problem will have to wait a few decades to find out!

Hello Tom Thanks for the video. My brother and I are overhauling a 330 and wonder if there was any secret to removal of the oil pump from the timing chest? 4 nuts are removed but it's solid???

Tommy, could Dry Ice cleaning play a part in cleaning such an engine, or, have I just watched to many "I am Detailing" videos? Thanks.
@tomyangnet2 жыл бұрын
I’m sure Dry-ice cleaning would probably do a good job but I don’t have anyone close to me that I can try. Sometimes a good old fashioned pressure washer will do fine without having to pay for the dry ice rig the vendor just bought!

You have to use your vehicles. I'd rather have a well used, well loved Ferrari with a lot of miles rather than one that never was run properly. This just proves it.

There are a lot of reasons people park a Ferrari. Most of the time it's because it broke, and they either couldn't get the parts, or find the time to fix it. Hardly anyone parks ANY car unless there's a problem! Thanks for watching!
