Ferrari 643 F1 Car V12 Sound at Imola Circuit - HUGE Sparks, Accelerations, Fly Bys & More!!

During the 2017 Historic Minardi Day at Imola circuit I was able to record again the ex Prost 1991 Ferrari 643 F1 car I saw last year.
The 643 was the second car used by Ferrari in the 1991 F1 Championship as a replacement for the problematic Ferrari 642 (F1-91). The car also featured Ferrari's first 'raised nose' design which allowed better airflow underneath the car. Under the bonnet you can find a 3.5-litre V12 engine with more than 700 hp at 13,800 rpm. Watch and hear in action on track doing some accelerations, fly bys and huge sparks on the main straight!!

Looks like each header has 2 collectors which remain separate all the way out... gives it a deeper tone than a 6 into 1 but at the cost of some scavenging power? But then again , how do you scavenge without harming power somewhere in the rev range when it goes all the way to 16,000 or so.

Maybe they disliked it for the fact that they couldn't understand how the driver thought he was getting any heat into the tyres or any aero effect to help the driving? Those cars had to be smashed to provide any kind of aero and tyre heat so they could actually go fast. Going slow in an F1 is actually the worst thing you can do. Just a guess obviously, I just heard a Ferrari V12 from 1991 that never won a race but I remember Prost and Alesi going flatout in them anyhow.

I loved this car, wish it continued being developed into 1992 and kept Prost motivated... ironically this 643 goes a lot further at Imola than his 642 did in 1991!
