Race 1: Kayden really held up with his F40. Well done, I expected nothing less. Race 2: I was really praying Edgar would pull through, but... looks like he was struggling against his 512M, if his performance here was any indication. Welp. Although I wasn't really looking forward to it, it's what we've got. So, F40 against Fiero in the finals, then? Crazy things this year. Crazy things indeed.

Out of all my 1000+ diecast cars the F40 on my 6 Lane drag is by far my Top 3 fastest cars. F40 is going to take this. Make sure to clean those wheels before next race and a drop of oil on there.👍🏽😉

The "un"popular meme is that the Fiero all always caught fire. Fieros only had the self-immolation problem, from the factory, in 1984, its first year. GM fixed the problem going forward. It was a problem with cooling. Unfortunately, this is actually a problem with ALL RMR cars, there was also refilling the radiator system, especially if the radiator in the front of the car. But that is easy to deal with by running the engine on idle while refilling the radiator system, from the engine bay, until all the bubbles are run out. If GM had given Pontiac the money they needed to properly develop the car from the start, this would never have been a problem. this was at the time GM was also looking for reasons to kill off the Corvette and they were not about foot another sports car, especially on that excelled with GM's then current generation of Smaller four-cylinder engines (such as the Oldsmobile Version of the Quad-4). Plus GM's unspoken dislike of Pontiac. GM HQ was literally fighting to kill the Fiero for no reason other than to protect the Corvette, a car they did not want until the fans told them to keep it. admittedly the Corvette was not in much danger of being actually cancelled, unlike the Ford Thunderbird, But the mere idea brought out the fans and loud banging on GM's front door. By the mid-90s, the Fiero was killed and ground it stood on salted. It was only in the hands of tuners and hot-rodders, the Fiero with Olds Qua d-4 and 3.8 OHV V6s and the occasional LS swap, showed what a beast "The Fiery Pegasus" could be. GM has a nasty habit of killing off really good cars. But the Fiero is one of the few cars GM HQ actually fought against. Only Pontiac and Oldsmobile versions of the Y-body, The Corvette, was fought harder.
