In my opinion, this is the nicest looking Ferrari they ever made. Sure it's unreliable and not the quickest....but the proportions are perfect on it. Short wheelbase, long front overhang and a brilliant rear end.

458 is a great looking car for sure in our modern day times but i do not think 30+ years from now we will say that that is why iconic cars such as the 288 GT0, Daytona, F355, F40, TR etc are timeless by design today still since many of the design elements like the rear wrap around glass and buttress design can not be done today for some reason.

@@nexushexus4365 The 458 is a close second, for me. The headlights of the 458 are ugly IMHO. The rest of the shape is flawless though, I do agree. It's hard to beat pop up headlights.

The warm glow that collinite gives the paint u can not get from ceramic coats I love waxing my car the traditional way your so rt the joy you get from it is like no other process!! I actually will go to my local state park some sundays and get under a tree with a cooler and some beers with a couple other friends and we will wax our cars then just sit there and admire them for hours and bullshit and drink a few it’s great!!

100% no comparison the F355 was the last all hand built mid engine Ferrari when they switched to the 360 Modena with the partnership with alcoa the also created the ultimate factory and started mass producing cars is far greater numbers by using robotics and high tech manufacturing.

waxes cant be beat for many reasons the new tech is cool and all for modern cars and simplicity but synthetic will never give the same results of natural wax

From time to time I still use 845, I found that stuff from my dad back in the early 90s , my father actually worked down the street from P&S in the Bay Area this was when the father was running it …back then I hated the stuff because I goop it on the paint….. we didn’t have you two back then or community chats really, today there’s so many detailing products it’s crazy! But yeah there’s nothing like that car Nuba smell and shine ! Even right now when I’m talking about it I can smell 845 lol

yeah this engine is one of the best sounding motors Ferrari ever produced in it's day the 458 Italia is also a favorite with the 360 CS

Nice quality work on such a beautiful car, but would be much more original if the centre console didn't look like it was from my Ford transit and original floor mats still present. Also the 95s pretty sure had no radio just the blanking plate. I know these are pieces of the puzzle that are very hard to obtain these days. Nevertheless great detailing restoration work, definitely shows the passion.👍

Que bella‼️ As Ferris Bueller would say, “ If you have the means, I highly recommend you pick one up!”. One often hears people on detailing channels say the car they are working on came out fabulous or incredible or some other adjective, when it does look nice. Personally I think those terms are very over used. But in this case it, at least on camera, looked fantastic ‼️👍✌️☮️

yep detailing paint is easy doing a restoration on any car to this level takes a serious amount of experience, multi faceted skill, patience and mega attention to detail and this is what I specialize in when I restore and build cars. I know lots of my audience appreciate seeing more than just shiny paint and what is underneath that is also important and rewarding to see and these older cars have so much detail and various finishes that makes these projects come alive when done right. new cars all plastic!!

Awesome work and such an amazing car! Quick question for you, I heard you say that gallons are less profitable than case packs, could you please tell me why? I’m genuinely curious. Is it the bottle that is more expensive to produce? Or the packaging ?

everything is more expensive and takes up more inventory space at the warehouse and too expensive to ship oversize boxes with gallons is also a factor.

Don’t apply polish while the paint is HOT. I’m in north Texas - We have two seasons HOT & Hotter! For the next ninety days it’ll be around 80° in the early AM and 100°+ in the late PM! May have to figure out a way to air condition the garage. Should have plenty of time to work on detailing the car since I can’t afford gas! Ferrari looks fantastic. Thanks and happy motoring.

No Ceramic coating on original single stage paint on old cars bad idea it can cause reactions and tiny pin holes if paint reacts

The Toyota supra is single stage, also if you ever run into a Toyota FJ cruiser apparently that’s single stage too on certain colors if not all! My uncles 66 Belvedere was painted back in the early 70s by Tommy the Greek in British racing green and lacquer and man did that lacquer shined , unfortunately over the years it cracked my uncle decided to restore the whole car about five years ago today modern clearcoat just don’t shine like the old single stage or lacquer !

most serious custom hot rod builders still use single stage on mega high end builds for solid colors. When I restored my 1955 Thunderbird for concours level I chose single stage and it was incredible because it had the same color tones of the original paint where as the base coat clear option looked completely different for a car of the 1950s and just not correct if your going for an authentic restoration. paint chemistry and tones are so different from lacquer, enamel, urethane

There something about a quality carnauba wax on red Ferrari paint. It kind of like walking past a pretty girl on the street. You just have to take a long look and then swivel your neck around and take a second look.

the 458 is not a classic car and not even close the same experience as the older Ferrari cars. the 458 is incredible in ever respect but very different with a paddle DCT gearbox and all highly sophisticated engineering and mass produced assembly where as the 355 was from a different era of Ferrari with low production hand assembly and 100% analog and no drivers aids.
