We make the parts with carbon fiber and s-glass with. Made entirely with epoxy. Unfortunately we don't make the parts in fiberglass.

Wow great looking build. How did you build the body, I wonder if it was cnc machined and then molded cause it is just perfect. And what is the donor car, I was wondering if it used factory Ferrari drive train or another engine and gearbox combo.

The body is an exact duplicate of the original... made of carbon fiber/epoxy. Donor car is a 355. Factory 355 engine being twin turbo-ed.

Not sure how I never saw this email from you. I'm going through my hidden youtube email comments right now san saw this email of yours. We only provide the pats for you to build a car. We are also building 3 cars for our shop (which will be sold when finished)...one will have a 355 engine, the other two - rolling chassis ready for whatever engine you want to install. Paint and interior finished on all three cars. Rollers should be $139K. A finished car somewhere around $250K I believe. All three bodies will be LM style.

If you don't use a 355 chassis, is it possible to use something more affordable/custom?

after spending the money for all of the composite parts and everything else you'll be purchasing, rims etc., I think a 308 or 328 could be a good choice. Finding a lightly hit Car on IAA auctions or Copart is a great way to start looking. After all you're going to be stripping the car down to nothing. We've built about eight of these cars on 308 and 328 chassis. You need to lengthen the rear frame section which takes about an afternoon to stretch it 4 inches. Get the suspension lined up with the rear wheel well properly. That's another way to do it and still be driving a Ferrari when you're all done. Titled as a Ferrari.

Isn't the wheelbase of the 308 different from the f40? Do you guys just extend the chassis?

Wheel base can be extended the approximate 4.25 inches. The frame of the 308 and 328 is VERY simple design. Chop & stretch. The most difficult part of it is finding 2 sections of the Ferrari oval frame tube (each piece 4.25 inches long. But that's not that difficult to find. The rest of Ferrari's frame you can find steel at your local steel supply company... straight off the shelf. For this car (355) nothing had to be done to the frame.

He doesn't. Yet. I'd imagine once the car is painted etc... he'll be taking it to the track and there will probably be lots of videos. This car is being built as a total RACE 355/F40LM (looking) Ferrari. Crazy fast with flames spitting out the back. ;o) Should be cool videos eventually of it on the track.
