Ferrari Portofino - The Best Looking Convertible Ferrari Ever? | TEST DRIVE

This is the brand new Ferrari Portofino, and in my mind it's the best looking GT convertible with a retractable hard top in the world! Join me for a first drive and look at the latest offering from Ferrari, the replacement to the California and California T, during the global premiere media drives. From exploring the exterior and design touches, to taking it for a blast on a wonderful road, let's discover what the Portofino is all about.
Getting underway outside Bari, Italy, we can take a full look at the car with the roof up (stay tuned to see the mechanism and what it's like down). From items such as the styling and aero, to glancing at the 3.9l Twin Turbo V8 that makes 600PS and 760Nm. Then it's time to jump on the road and discover the driving modes and whether the Portofino could now be classed as a 'real' Ferrari. Finally a wrap-up with more of the interior and some final thoughts about what this gorgeous car is about.
This particular Portofino is painted in the launch colour, 'Rosso Portofino' and wears a number of carbon fibre exterior options. The base price for the car comes in at £166k, but expect to spend £190k by the time you've kitted out your options.

Nahh cali was closer to maserati than a ferrari. It was supposed to be a maserati as well. It looked soft for a ferrari and little bit fat on front. Portofino is much more aggressive.

I drove one of these in Nov. and was immensely impressed. great top, looks great in both positions. Decent space. but best of all it drives superbly. it's fast, very fast and handles extremely well. maybe not quite at 488 levels, but not too far off. today prices are very friendly, and coming down. I would think low mileage examples in the next year or two will be well worth looking for & represent decent value. nice review old sport.

But it’s such a phenomenal evolution from the f12 (driving dynamics) I expected Ferrari to make every car stunning like the 458 but the withdrawal of pininfarina has not really caused any damage to how a FERRARI drives but just the looks. Which didn’t matter at all people who buy a Ferrari for how it drives. Rest of them chose a Lamborghini. There are dumb tits who think the amg gts looks great. What do we do ? Haha

Imo Ferrari is kind of losing its touch, they still make great cars and they don't look necessarily bad but i think maybe they have gone very aero-heavy and lost some elegance, wich is key for Ferrari. We already have Lambos if we want to see a radical and agressive style.

I think the best looking convertible has to be the 458 or 488, I love how the body lines aren’t compromised by the inclusion of a convertible top-It’s still super sleek and sporty. This is not to say I don’t love the Portofino, it looks awesome!

Very weird, but I thought I hated the look of this car. I tried very hard to like it, because everyone else is saying its one of the prettiest cars out right now, but I couldn't see it. I googled more pictures and I found it in this silver color and it was gorgeous... I can't say why I don't like it in the classic red, but It looks a lot better to me in other colors!
