Google it yourself. Bumblebees aren't even that heavy, and their wings aren't that small. They're bodies are big, but their exoskeletons are light for their size, and it's mostly fuzz anyway. The only reason some engineers thought it was "physics defying" was because they were basing flight patterns on airplane's instead of insects. If they flapped their wings up and down, yes, it would be impossible, but most insects don't do that, especially the big ones. So who's the donut now? Probably me, for telling off someone that made a post 3 years ago.
