Was back in BR from Houston about four years ago for a conference. Took some friends on a plantation tour. Ferry was a surprise for them. You pay a fare in one direction only; return is free.

Love this Ferry. It was integrated by Civil Rights students in the 1950's. Important place. Wish we still had the DOTD ferry in Plaquemines, Pointe a la Hache.
