昔東京までサイクリングに行ったとき、帰りはさんふらわに乗って那智勝浦まで帰ってきました。調べるとさんふらわ８だったみたいで、当時の写真にも８が写っていました。そして当時船内ではさんふらわの歌が流れていて、すっかり覚えました。そして再びさんふらわに乗ります。

さんふらわあ（あいぼり・こばると、ごーるど・ぱーるにいつもお世話になってます） 関西に配送行って帰るときにいつもさんふらわ使ってます・・・ 四トンの寝台で寝るより快適に寝れるので重宝してます・・ 今度コロナ収まって旅行が自由に行けるようになったらまた乗ります！ 今はほとんど陸路で走ってるので、さんふらわあで寝て快適移動のありがたさが身に沁みます・・・ （大分↔神戸　別府↔大阪航路いつも利用させてもらってます）！！

1984年12月に高校の修学旅行で、当初大洋フェリーが、福岡県の苅田港⚓発着で運航していた、大阪南港⚓行き、さんふらわあに乗船予定でしたが、名門カーフェリーと、大洋フェリーが合併して、名門大洋フェリーと、社名変更して、新門司港⚓発着になったため、フェリーはこざきに乗船しました。「関西汽船に売却された、さんふらわあは、別府港⚓発着の、大阪南港⚓行き航路に就航しました。」
