Fertilizing the Knockout & Drift Roses with Espoma Rose-Tone Using My Secret Spreading Techniques!

Time to fertilize the roses after the spring flush. We use Espoma Rose-Tone Organic Rose and Flower Food on all of our roses between flushes!

We love Espoma products. We put Espoma Biotone in our containers last year as an experiment one other with Miracle Grow, one with Osmocote, it blew them away! Also use their Rosetone, and several others. Love your technique! Lol I also thought it was funny when your oldest son saw you and other than scratching his head seemed like it was nothing out of the norm😂 I’m am grounded to the deck with my container plants til July 12. I had to have a complete hip replacement and I am chomping at the bit to get in my yard. I might very well be trying your interpretive fertilizing technique! Cause that’s how happy I will be! My 10 month old dog tries to eat it. He loves stinky stuff. It does have a distinct smell. Haha May I add I love your technique of applying it. 😄

Make sure you don't use it near your dog at all. I put a small wire fence around my roses after applying for a few rainfalls.

Do you apply the fertilizer on top of the mulch? I couldn’t tell. 🤓

I throw it right on top do the pinestraw under the rose trees and right under the rose bushes in the flowerbed - the RoseTone is like sand so it seeps down into the straw. I don’t really have mulch in the flowerbed inside the walkway - it’s actually Black Kow Manure so it’s my spring fertilizer and now it’s just part of the garden soil. Does that make sense?

Can’t believe your touching that stuff with your bare hands w/o wearing gloves… that’s crazy. Otherwise that’s the only organic fertilizer I use in my garden.
