The New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control hosted our first ever Fire and Emergency Services Health, Wellness and Safety Symposium on February 23-25, 2024 at the NYS Academy of Fire Science in Montour Falls. Attendees had the opportunity to meet and learn from leading experts and researchers from across the country. Topics included Firefighter Cancer Prevention, Cardiac Health, Responder Fitness & Nutrition, Responder Mental Health, & Occupational Safety. Three of our distinguished guests have collaborated with us to get their message out to the fire service who did not have the opportunity to attend the Symposium.
