It is impossible to judge the best young tabla player, as there are many young tabla masters in this world. Vivek bhai is one among them. Glad to hear such soothing performance filled with beautiful compositions! 😊

Tabla Guru Pandit Samrat Kakkeri always taught that playing this kaida "Dha Dha Tita Dha Dha Tun Na + Na Na Tita Dha Dha Dhin Na" for practice 1 hour every day, makes a tabla player very strong and able to play anything in tabla solo and accompiment. He taught that this makes the hand very strong.

Vivek as always great playing but you should use different tabla probably higher scale, sound is not crisp not ringing. And also as always you play very diffrent kaydas which are fun to hear.

आपको VIVEK का 1% भी बजाना आता है क्या 🤔 पिछले साल जाकिर भाई ने खुद विवेक को तबला सोलो के लिए invite किया था गुरुपूर्णिमा पे मुंबई में और विवेक के तबला सोलो के बाद ज़ाकिर भाई ने बहुत तारीफ़ की थी विवेक के तबला सोलो की 🌻 और पंडित अनिंदो चैटर्जी विवेक 5 साल का था तभी से उनको शिष्य बनाया हुआ हे 🌻 आप youtube पे विवेक के और वीडियो देखिए और फिर comment कीजिए 🙏

I have never ever commented about this topic, but for the first time I have to say that I really don't like the sound of the Tabla. It's very suppressed and without any sharpness.

@@FestivalofTabla I think the issue is not on your side. Sound for other tabla videos are fine. And Vivek has good nikas. I think for this video it is his tabla set which is faulty. The daya is not good at all.

Dayan tone sounds fine to me. I suppose it’s a matter of preference. It’s just a lower register and looks to be a Haridas vhatkar tabla which tend to have a deeper tone in my experience.

@@TheVijaiParadigmThere is no sharpness of Na in the Daya. It's almost as if the Dayan is poorly manufactured. Very poor Dayan.
