No other composer in the history of the world has ever come close to this sound in my opinion. If every pregnant mother were to play this quality of music, both before and after the baby is born and during early childhood and beyond, along with proper nutrition assuring The 90 Essential Nutrients (look it up). the IQs of future generations would be OFF THE SCALE.

Amen BROTHER! As I said before I was listening to Wagner at the age of three...Now I am 74 and there has not been a day that has gone by that I have not listened to his glorious music! It has carried me through life's path and if there is an afterlife I hope they are playing Wagner 24/7!

Been listening to Wagner since I was three yrs. old! Never get tired of his glorious essence! He is truly the leader of German Soul Music and will be forever!

The best wedding music ever composed. This is also one of the best choral pieces, so why isn’t the chorus singing?
@Pierluigi_Di_Lorenzo3 жыл бұрын
And why is there no wedding or an organ playing?

Well played but tempo is too fast for me. Tempo indication on the music score is "langsam und feierlich" (= slow and solemn). I guess the conductor has artistic freedom.🙄

Eastman Wind Ensemble version is the optimal tempo, IMO

What is the name of the band?
@camillodacapra67064 жыл бұрын
That is the "Sächsische Bläserphilharmonie" with the conductor Thomas Clamor from Leipzig (Germany).

@@camillodacapra6706 I just realized they also dont use saxophones. Why is that
@bethanyrippeon88623 жыл бұрын
@@FilipusWisnumurti probably aiming for more traditional instruments?? they also have rotary valve trumpets which i know the vienna phil uses for historical accuracy

I wonder if there is a tasteful way to shorten the piece so it’s not as long.

That's funny! Right?

Holy fuck, what speed you are play? This is to fast
@rmbandy8353 жыл бұрын
Poor arrangement and far too fast. The Lucien Cailliet arrangement is the only one which does this piece the justice it deserves. Sorry.

Way too fast tempo
@williamfulgham20105 жыл бұрын
A matter of interpretation I guess. In my opinion, any slower and it would sound like a funeral dirge.
@lesahall62475 жыл бұрын
I've played it in symphonic band and the conductor took it at a slower tempo . . . it's the procession of Elsa into the cathedral after all.
@imapaine-diaz44514 жыл бұрын
Elsa's in a hurry! after all, the night is waiting.......😉

Pacing is WAY TOO FAST. Lots of intentional unnecessary rushing. And the added finale change at the end does NOT give me any sense that this any work of Richard Wagner.

Bravo! Great arrangement and great playing. It has to be a bit faster as a concert piece. It's all good. Thanks!
