Looking so gorgeous, Josie, you're making this Christmas season even more magical I used to follow Sophie until I saw a photo of herself at a party during full lock down when I had just lost a loved one, it just hit me hard seeing all these women partying. You're too hard on yourself btw, your hair looks beautiful any way you wear it 😍

When I was a child I used to see the film Casper over and over because I was absolutely in love with the house, all these hidden corridors and rooms...and I must say I feel the same way about your house, it's just magical and so exciting to see that there's a little stair behind a door that leads to another door with another corridor with more rooms that we didn't see. I'm totally hooked to this vlogmas just to discover how magical and enchanted your house seems, it's the loveliest labirinth! I totally get why you love it so much. I will miss vlogmas so much, thank you for sharing it with us, it's been magical! Merry Christmas!

That velvet dress looks stunning on you! And the hair you were experimenting with on the first day looked very 90’s glam with all that volume at the crown wowza ❤. Also i dont mind the clunkiness of the gingerbread car you are working on, i think it adds charm to it and it’ll look fun however it ends up looking like in the end.

I used the Dyson air wrap but used my COLD conair hot curlers that are smooth and don’t have teeth. This way you don’t pull your hair. Had curls all day! The Velcro curlers pull the curl out.

I have naturally curly hair and only ever use a wide toothed comb on my hair and only when it's wet to comb through conditioner. Once it's dry, I only ever use my fingers and would never use a brush. I've tried every product out there and find Cantu a great brand for me but it's trial and error for which ones as hair is so personal. Super moisturised and regular trims are key.

Josie! I don't often comment BUT this vlog was just so beautiful and the Fairmont was just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing so much. You are a lovely hostess to these adventures and there is no element that disappoints. You have inspired me at times over the year to dress up a little more, cook/bake a little more and slow down to enjoy my own life- a little more. Enjoy your holiday and blessings to you, Charlie, the boys, LaLa ... from one of your admirers in Dallas.

I love your Defender, even on the assembly line! In the US one can find long wooden strips at 1/4, 1/2" that you put on either side of the dough you are rolling out. They ensure your rolling pin both goes to and not thinner than the depth you want your dough. Alternatively, you can have your carpenter rip them on a tablesaw. They are game changers when you roll dough. They also have rubber rings t hat you can put on the ends of your rolling pin that serve the same purpose. I do not prefer those. Happy Christmas 🎄.

Great volume with rollers. Keep that look. Always use completely dry hair only with any type of rollers or hair tongs. Lock in volume at the roots and curls with a good hairspray before and after pinning hair and definitely after removing rollers. You can use a curl cream on the curls (not roots) when finish styling so the curls stay put.

If your hair is wet or even slightly damp, I doubt you will get the results you desire. If you are using a hair tool that curls and dries at the same time, that’s certainly a different story. But my years of experience with hot rollers, dry hair is essential. I even bought a set that used “steam” and you added water to the hot roller set to create the steam, and I had horrible results because even the moisture in the roller was too wet to achieve curls that lasted past styling after taking out the rollers. I always added my styling products... heat protectant, moose, gels, etc. before drying. I did find success spraying a bit of hairspray before and/or after curling. Bottom line, make sure your hair is fully dry prior to hot rollers and fully cooled before combing or brushing or shaking your head and finger combing. This worked for my fine hair but I don’t have the quantity you have, so perhaps less hair per roller might help too. Good luck!

I couldn’t see are the dogs fixed to the back seat belts ? With a dog harness? They might be better with less movement.. We move dogs in a cage in the rear and they seem to settle better there … I’ve been looking for dog car seats and harness for the back seats . The afternoon tea looked amazing .

Josie just a tip with the rollers- Velcro rollers normally are amazing for root lift and bounce but for more curl it’s often better to just roll the hair up and clip it often the Velcro rollers pull curl out in straighter hair types- but lovely for root lift :)

A tip when rolling out dough and needing uniformity.....put the dough between something (like chopsticks) and roll them out using your something (like chopsticks haha). Maybe pieces of scrap wood or molding, cutting...Hopefully, you get the idea. There are youtube videos that are much more informative than my mad ramblings. Lol. Your Defender looks good, overall! You were talking about your productive, but boring for us day. Speaking for only myself, I love a good "clean or tidy with me". There is an entire market for just that kind of thing. But with you, it would be a really real thing. And there's something so interesting to me about how people do their basic, normal, monotonous things. Though, I've never been accused of being normal. Lol. And your green dress is beautiful! Very lovely. I appreciate that you present affordable and accessible things as well. One more thing...lol. If you've never made scones, do. They are so easy amd so impressive. Biggest tip...freeze your butter, after you get the dry ingredients, cut in your butter (pinch it like you would a crumble topping) and put it back in the freezer while you mix the wet and let the oven heat up. They'll melt in your mouth. A base recipe can be sweeten or made savory.

Hi Josie, check out some TikTok videos on how to 'twist' out the rollers rather than just pulling them downwards. This will help with the tugging on your hair, plus keeps the bouncy curl in the ends better! Merry Christmas

Josie because the humidity on the ambiance your hair is not letting that the curls stay. You need to put something for stop the humidity before you use the curls and use a firm mousse. Thank you for sharing this nice trip. Which are your number 10th tea place please and thank you.

I have to let hair accumulate on my Velcro rollers so they don’t pull my hair out after the first few times. If I keep removing the hair, it keeps pulling out my hair. It may bother some people but it’s the only way I’ve found to have them work fabulously!! Hope that helps! I’ve so enjoyed all of Vlogmas:) Thanks so much!!
