Hi from the Land of Oz (Australia). Best Festool demos on KZbin. You guys are costing me a fortune for new Festool gear.

I know this is an old video, but found it funny you had the exact same comment as I was thinking. When I first pondered getting into the Festool system of tools the prices were a bit off putting, however seeing videos of the tools being used makes it way easier to see the possibilities of what you can not only DO with them, but HOW MUCH BETTER and FASTER the results can be.

San Marcos, Texas - Always love Sedge's enthusiasm! Was lucky enough to meet him in Las Vegas & Atlanta a couple of years ago. We attended as many demonstrations as possible at both trade shows. He's the same in person. Sedge, please let me know if you ever come back to Central Texas.

I am from Taylor, mi. I am a beginner and love woodworking. Thanks for your service and videos. I would like some advice on getting a domino and biscuit joiner. Thank you for your help.

Sedge, I am a Festool channel subscriber and recently began watching your live videos after the fact on KZbin. I’m gonna try to start catching some of them live. I am a DIYer who retired from my regular job a few years ago. I own most of the Festool basic equipment that you feature on these broadcasts. The first time or two that I saw you I had to get used to your “enthusiasm“! But then I thought “He’s a lot like me!“ I taught technology classes to real estate agents for 25 years. There is an artful blend of combining humor with excellent tips and facts to keep your audience engaged. I realized that your style is an awful lot like mine was. I truly enjoy your contribution as I’m finally really getting into my woodworking. It’s the little tips and techniques for safety and productivity you present that I really enjoy. Kudos to you and Festool for doing this, and I look forward to following you for a long time. Great job! Steve in Houston PS I’ve been binge watching all the episodes of “Cheers” these days and the fact that you remind me so much of Cliff Calvin is a bonus! PPS I’ve been fighting metric ever since I got my first Festool machine, which was the DF 500. I’m coming to realize, however, what a lot of people already know - metric is the way to go, especially in woodworking!

Festool Execs please give this great program the money to buy the best mics, like your tools are....🙊🙉

Audio quality is practically non existent. Had to turn on Captions just to understand what is going on, but clears up at 15:45 after mic change. Sedge goes back over what was missed at the end of the demo, so you don't miss anything! Thanks, Sedge!

Yep. I want a Festool bucket too. LOL. I love my Domino and I've made a couple of doors. But the domino in the end as a plug is such a great tip. LOVE IT!!! This also makes me want to add the vac sys to my shop. Can't wait.

Hello from San Diego! I have a question about your 50mm stock that you use for the styles. I understand that this is stock for making quick doors and teaching classes, but how would you run your groove so that there is no gap showing on the door?

Another excellent video guys/gals, thank you. Not sure this is better or faster or better than a coping sled, but the contrasting wood plug does provide a cool effect.

That’s what I’m wondering. I’ve always made tongue and groove doors. Debating on trying this.

Not sure what KZbin are up to - I am subscribed but this did not appear on my feed. It was only by searching for Episode 35 that I found it.

Hey Sedge, maybe in a future Live episode, you can demonstrate clamping on the MFT/3 for Domino work on thin stock WITHOUT using the Vac Sys. I struggle to find a good system that works efficiently. Especially needed since Festool has discontinued the Vac Sys.

I'm surprised you didn't add the foam balls around the panel to prevent rattle? I love the color of the 5 piece door which looks like the center is even a bit darker ... what did you finish that cabinet with?

I was told years ago, that when you. Router a piece of wood, you take a little off at a time, until you get the edge you want. I was told that if you go and try to make the edge, you burn out the router bit and maybe too much wood would chip away.

Wow, sorry to be critical, but that glue technique for the dominos is a nightmare. What a mess you and your work area would be if you had a lot of joints to glue. No thanks!

You really just thanked the Festool 'executive' for keeping you safe by making you wash your hands and wear a mask LOL. That was ridiculous.

Looks like a great way to build doors if you insist on using the festool system but by far not the best, most efficient way to build a door.
@JeffMackay14 жыл бұрын
Oh Come on guys. As much as we pay for your tools, you can afford to upgrade your broadband, video, and audio capabilities. One video with problems is fine. When it happens repeatedly, not so much. Tell Father Festool you need a bigger budget.

You know this was a LIVE presentation, right? They caught it within a few minutes, fixed the problem and repeated the missing information at the end of the video. Real life is never perfect, but if you can fix your mistakes, you are way ahead of the game.

Cost 10k to build a $50 door. Isnt carpentry fun. Feel free to send over a sanding system to clean up my saltiness. BTW...go online guys and by a RODE Wireless Mic System...it will work alot better than what you have now and easy to use. Great presenter...deserves a raise.
