Fetal Pig Dissection Part 5- Circulatory System

I show these fetal pig videos the day before I do my fetal pig dissections with my classes. I find that after viewing these videos, they aren't as scared and as intimidated the day of the dissection.
I spend one day on my fetal pig dissection- 45 minutes to do the dissection,10 minutes to clean up. However, I do receive help from several alumni and my boyfriend to lead the students through the dissection. I have found that 45 minutes is a sufficient amount of time to view the organs as well as leave time to try the challenge at the end of the dissection: carefully remove the brain.
I use Carolina's Perfect Solution 10 - 13 inch Fetal Pigs, in a pail. They are slightly more expensive, but well worth it, as the solution is non-toxic, doesn't smell as bad (which is a plus for teachers who share rooms), and better preserved.
