The notorious terrorist, Atse Yohannes IV, who committed horrific pogroms on Muslims during his reign, 1872-89, is their pride leader and King. They wish to repeat the evils of his deeds again. Tegaru Christians’, not all but most, wickedness, intolerance and hatred of Islam and Muslims is beyond expression, inexplicable. They see the world through the lenses of ethnicity and religion, instead of through the lens of civil values which guarantees the safety and happiness of all people. In the names of religion, superiority and ethnicity, they trample on justice, tolerance, equality and liberty, the real construct on which ‘peaceful coexistence’ depend. I feel very sorry to hear the plight of these young girls to have their basic human rights violated. In these days and age, such a treatment of indigenous people in their own country is heart-aching. These young girls should never kneel down, and should keep fighting and fighting and fighting …. until victory. The whole world is watching and support is coming. Allah is with those who are in the process of fighting for their rightful cause. Nothing comes with silence, fear or supplication/prayer; real fight and sacrifice has to happen to achieve the due respect and religious rights. May Allah be with them in this struggle.
