It's already happened to me, I'm 31 now .... It seems like I was 17 days ago. I grew up on old school rap... Even when in my twenties I listened to older hip hop and rap. I built a recording studio as a kid and made beats and recorded stuff for friends and editing. Before all these new b at machines and synths I use to take other programs that had jazz, techno and rock instruments/synths and started to make beats that sounds like today's stuff but we would rap to it like Bone thugs as far as harmony/ Melody wise and had actual bars / verses instead of autotune and whiny weird voice sounds...once mainstream started making similar sounding beats I was happy but when these wack ass wannabe rappers started singing pop trance hipster style it ruined the sound for me. It's wack as hell and people get made fun of for listening to crap like that in my hood unless your young . We were truly hard whereas now you got pop star style rap.. it ain't rap. It's pop music. I can't stand it nobody my age can and we were hard as hell. I'm talking gangsta shit. Now it's all illrelavent and it's ok and cool to listen to crap , wear girl jeans ect.. you'd get beat up for that in my day.. which is only a handful of years ago...it's amazing how fast culture can shift. It already has for me and I'm only 31.
