Beginning tune: 0400 0000 [0800] Later you can amp it up to 0400 5050 [0800] (rank 1248) or 0500 5050 (rank 1285). Here, the total speed (with TK) is unbeatable; however, R8SE -- because of its acceleration -- will give it a tough competition. The URP is 10:40:10:40, so upgrading Nitro will increase the rank significantly, for much less increase in total speed. So choose nitro upgrades very carefully. After the 1285 tune above, you choose whether you prefer handling over acceleration or the other way round, and tweak the Elite tune accordingly. Further, you might want to try 0500 5555 [0800] (rank 1390) as well. There are many tunes above rank 1450 that are quite good. My present tuning for the SLK SE is 5502 5555 [0880] at rank 1494 (I chose to tweak Elite handling and to max out the acceleration). Also, the tunings Max Pro [1800] (rank 1679) and Max Pro [0808] (rank 1828) are killers as well -- but good skills are a must. As a rule of thumb, SLK SE cannot do well on short and twisty tracks (such as Dubai, Munich), and does very well on long and simple ones (such as Tokyo, Azure Coast).

Interestingly enough, I use my low rank Audi SE to reach 100% and use the IE during the 100% just so I don't get into trouble with other IE's at the start. Also is the tune 4505 5053 as good as the 4504 5055 tune? It gives me a rank of 1690

4505 5053 is marginally faster (by just about 1 mph) but has slower acceleration than 4504 5055. I'd say both tunes are good enough.

Dennis Klein the "best" credit car is probably still the sagaris(loses to se's mostly and competitive against the SS), trion nemesis(which is worse than the vulcan.. so apollo>vulcan>trion also trion takes so mane FIV8 engines),and MAYBE the mosler land shark (which is an alternative to the trion). You most likely won't be able to get to champion with a credit car (RIP my hopes and dreams) P.S. sorry that i made this huge ass essay that wouldn't help you in any way

A huge majority of the good ol' credit cars don't perform well anymore because of the three SEs, and the Apollo IE. Only some BP/Token vehicles still have some potential to survive and thrive: AHGT, Sin, Camaro SS, Vulcan, and some more.
