I did not plan on recording the entire performance as I was in the 2nd row but 20 minutes in I figure 'already recorded this much, why not?' and so here is the entire show recorded on a smartphone. *Show More* for Set List spoilers.
It was a *magical* experience being there and hearing some of my favorite Joe Hisaishi tunes. The recording cannot do any justice to how the instruments reverberated through the hall. Closing the eyes you'd think this beautiful music was all in your head.

The atmosphere is magical especially if you like live instruments and love this music.

Thank you so much for this amazing concert on Joe Hisaishi’s music. I’ve been into Miyazaki’s films since I was 10. This is a beautiful tribute by Candlelight Concerts to an inventive artist.

In hindsight, I am incredibly happy to have had he opportunity to record this performance and to have recorded in its entirety. I'm able to come back to listen and remember vividly how it was in person.

The woman speaking ruined it. I can’t believe she referred to her own concert as “funny anime stuff”. I thought this was going to be huge, but this video is nothing like how the ads hype it up…

I bought the ticket for the June performance. But it looks like the orchestra is very small.

I still very much enjoyed it and the order and names of songs you see on the video aren’t always what you’ll get. But yeah definitely not a full orchestra.

It's called a quartet, meaning there's 4 players. Check the info on the tickets, it'll tell you if it's a full orchestra or a small ensemble like this.

The Westminster Presbyterian Sanctuary in Minneapolis, MN. I was in the 2nd row of the middle group seats on the ground level.
