The gift that is Caitlin Clark just keeps giving! The midwest gal is a blessing! The WNBA "greats" should be humble and honest enough to admit this and be gracious enough to thank her. And coach should build the first team around Caitlin. Let's go, Caitlin, Aliyah, Celeste and Fever!

@AlexKaufman33889 ай бұрын
The WNBA most likely did not see a need during the regular season to financially charter flights until last week. It is pretty remarkable how big of an impact Caitlin and this entire rookie class has had and such a short amount of time the pressure is going by 1 million to perform every night and if they do the league will be changed forever. This is awesome to watch in real time.

that last comment from CC is such a GOAT mentality. Jordanesque one, and why also us MJ fans was captivate by her cause she's competitive as hell like MJ is. And for me that was surprising to learn because I became a fan because of her raw talent and her being a competitive player as much as the GOAT in NBA is a plus factor and boosted my confidence that at the end of her career it will be cemented that she will be the GOAT of WNBA!

She should let CC handle the ball she's a great passer, she will find space for Aliyah to shoot. She's good in transition and fast beak as well. Her team mates should run fast, cover her to shoot and rebound. In their pre season she waited for them to get there then opponent were there to block them.

"get back into the system that we are used to playing in" & "we had a meeting last year after the season and brainstormed of strategy for next year" - these are statements from the coaches - they didn't have CC then - if they go with this strategy they are going to have the same results as last year - the fever now have CC, get your system and strategy formed around her - it is pretty simple - i recommend the owners see what you are doing and make some adjustments - you can already see the effect she is having - open your eye - i want to have something to look forward to this summer

Seems like they are working on a documentary, but I get the feeling there are too many coach tips and seeing too many play set-ups that may give away strategies against other teams. Example: How, and where they are posting, who is positioned where and how they work the wings while Aliyah is at L or R high post- If I am getting all that from what I just saw, not much of a stretch that the upcoming teams will take advantage of that. You may want to keep Aliyah and one other tall wing positioned lower in the post for greater chance at offensive boards when looking for some 3s outside. Didn't get enough Offensive rebounds last game. Pull them up high post when working to drive or 'back doors' into the paint. I do like what I see from them though.

Some of the in game decisions made by Christie Sides cost them games. I'm surprised that this organization is actually considering keeping her. That decision is definitely going to hurt this team, and the progression of Caitlin Clark. This team needs a coach that can fully maximize Clark, and the other players skill sets. If you think Sides was the reason for the turnaround of this team, and you watched their games, you weren't paying attention. So let's see how next season goes, I hope her coaching improves. Cause showing up to watch CC lose games won't be cool.

First off, the captain of the team shouldn't be the captain anymore after going public and making comments against Clark. Coach needs to talk to her and put her in her place. She is just jealous of Clark because Clark is getting all the attention. A captain doesn't do what she did. Maybe she should step up her game if she wants some attention too. The team just needs to learn that Clark is a fast player and they need to keep up with her and start setting screens and cutting towards the basket!!!

They need to work on chemistry and conditioning. CC is used to fast play so during the game so many times she would be already on the other side while waiting for her teammates just dribbling the ball waiting but by then the other team would also be there as well and then be able to guard them not giving them the advantage of speed. If they can get their speed up and chemistry then just let CC handle the ball she is so could with her IQ that all they have to do is get there and she will get them the ball but they just need that chemistry to know where to be and know she will feed me the ball and know where to be and know when to put up screens so she doesn’t have to make her own shots. They have so much potential to be one of the top teams in the WNBA it’s crazy but they just need the time and chemistry to get there but it’s going to take time, work and commitment to put in the work and dedication to get there. If they are they could easily be like what Magic & Bird used to be back in the day. I saw in one of there practices how they were passing in assists the way bird used to with just using his fingertips easily just moving the ball right to where it needed to be from one teammate to other and that I haven’t seen in years which shows me that they can get there is they just work at it. Also they need to make sure that CC is given the time to rest and recover and not be constantly doing media and promotion. I know that the team and the league needs her to do it and also demanding it of her because of the public interest but with her going nonstop for over two years with back to back runs at the national championships with all that pressure, media, NIL endorsements, to straight into the draft, to doing more media, setting up more endorsements and deals, talking with agents, moving to a whole need state and all that entails, still having to finish college and graduating, doing documentaries and promo for it, to then all the community service and fan outreach that she still does on top of all that she needs to be able to just have time to recoup and rest. Give her body and mind a break away from all the pressure and strain in order to make sure she doesn’t burn out or worst case end up having an injury from going non stop without any breaks. The WNBA needs to also start using those that also were drafted into the WNBA so that all the pressure and promo isn’t all all her. Even with the Fever you also have other players on the team that can be promoted so that it’s not all on CC.
@MaxxZimonick9 ай бұрын
They definitely need to get down the court faster. They are just wasting CC's passing ability with how slow they are. Unless something changes I see them looking for a rim runner to go with CC.

Now about Nalyssa Smith, I like her game, but her body language with the team at times shows that she's not really excited about being there. It may be best she gets traded especially how she played in the playoffs against her girlfriend's team, she really needs to go. I don't think she really enjoys playing with CC. Jealousy could play a part in how she feels playing for the fever, and having attitudes with the people you play with won't help. She just spoke her mind, it would be best if she left.

Wow Boston was a disappointment in their first game. She was slow and the last offensive player down court, terrible as a post player and a horrible pick and roll option. The rest of the team didn't move on offense to be available when Clark was double teamed. They need Kate Martin types to run a fast paced multi option offense to utilize Clark's style of play. If they don't fix the offense, Clark will be the highest point leader in the WNBA but they will barely make the playoffs. Fix the style of play and the team will be a top team and Clark will have a mid 25 point average and 8 to 10 assist average.
@MaxxZimonick9 ай бұрын
Yeah, I just watched another practice video and Aliyah was the last one up the court. Aliyah is great in half court sets, but not so much on the break, which is not a good situation because it just wastes CC's passing ability and easy buckets. Someone needs to be able to rim run or they need to make a trade. Obviously not trading Boston, but the team needs speed. Maybe we will see some improvement in this next preseason game.

@@MaxxZimonick I hope the coach sees what you see and makes these adjustments. Hope Boston gets fit to speed up her game.
