May be old, but your video helped me with my tamer I've intentionally left at 49 for now. She's my primary gatherer and having one character I can take anywhere w/o worry of getting jumped is enjoyable to me. I'm probably more casual than the average player and when I'm ready I will hit 50 and awaken my tamer. But for now, playing this character effectively at 49 has made my gaming experience a lot better. I love the tamer more and more, meta or not. Thanks for taking time to put this video together.

Great simple Guide Fevir, Tamer is the first class Im taking to 50+ and I'm learning all (mostly) on my own, I feel like you covered a lot of the things I've learnt from practice (Kill all the ranged mobs...immediately or get 2 shot). I love being versatile and creating my own combos and having fun mixing things up but I definitely feel this is the core of tamer in a nutshell.

Yeah, really liking the: hold shift and LMB + LBP after first JW, so easy to go through stamina though when overused. Tends to go: BJ - BW - LBP - BJ - BW - Trample - Whiplash and somewhat repeat, pretty much what you're doing in the video. Though wondering if there's better dmg combination out there for tamer, too afraid of not having maxed a skill I'm missing :P

"That's just the Tamer, you're paper thin." That's just gear dependent, nothing to do with the class. I remember trying to kill elite catfishmen with my Ranger, and dying constantly. Then I enhanced my gear and nearly doubled my AP and DP. I gave that gear to my Tamer, and she was taking out 2 elite catfishmen plus a horde of other catfishmen, no problem. :)

best thing to do for PvM Is max evasive attack skill . constantly dance around a large group of minions with A or D and left button. this gives 100% crit chance, refills mana, and causes you to take 0 dmg cause youre an evade based class. Then after your third hit tap Space to knock down enemies. once theyre knocked down you use an AOE and boom everything is dead in matter of seconds and you take 0 dmg. Q is also much worse than roaring in this combo. once everything is knocked down you literally 1 shot em with roaring. Q aoe is 1/3 the size roaring. Watching how you play tamer sorta makes me cringe xD but thats cause my play style so much dif and seems more effective to me. Especially at 5:30 when you die to that mob. theres no reason you should be stationary for that long with one of the most mobile characters in game.

The pull effect of Void Lightning (Q) doesn't always work for me (nor Stance Shift), like with large mobs. For this reason and for the mana recovery, *I chose to max out Evasive Attack and Flowing Water.* As I can dodge enemy attacks, do decent damage, get mana, and while circling them cause them to cluster into one spot. Without either of those, I find I'm constantly relying on mana pots when using Whiplash, which is a huge drain on mana. Especially since it's your main attack/combo. With Evasive Attack and Flowing Water maxed, I get the mana back from one cast of Whiplash (I'm only L51 so I only have access to Whiplash IV, not the final version), and it does half the damage of that Whiplash (which for me is 409% x 2 hits, 6 times).

Fevir Idk man but your content was so well done, with heart and passion and with that game with such potencial and unlimited ways to do anything has made so magical feellig that i loved. You explained how this world works and i played this way with no actual goal just wondering around wondering that somday ill build a boat and see islands in the north or tame a camel on the desert or i dont know... It was that time that i wasnt just going the way of progress like i did in wow but tha way of my own tiny goals. Seeing people was like seeing that someone was doing just like me and it was awsome. I have question, between the solidification of your guide here... So you favor the basic smaller aoe skills over the larger ones.. I've found that surging tide is actually stronger than bolt/jolt. Even using it off of cd I end up killing everything faster - much faster - using it. The fact that heijang - no matter where he is, casts his own aoe spell when you use surging tide Makes for a fun little minigame when heijang is fighting mobs, you're fighting your own, and you're using surging tide to push the enemies back while heijang is aoeing his. then I just have roar if things get messy and I play on my evasion skills when I need cooldowns. ._. My favorite combo is trample - roar after grouping them. Idk I don't play tamer the same as you. To each their own, I might find that down the road my playstyle suffers, but currently I've never died unless I accidentally lagged out or misjudged positioning andhad a ranged unit at my backside.

+LuvLexyU Off cooldown Surging Tide ends up doing equivalent damage to a similarly leveled non-crit Jolt Wave. The thing is just that Tamer's don't really struggle with damage so up until ~52 if things are your level they die with no effort anyways- but the animation cancel, the speed of the attacks and the control BJ gives just makes it better not to mention the effects of AS on the skill- but there is a lot to be said for playstyle. Because most of the Taner's abilities deal relevant damage if you level them up you could use anything to actually kill the enemies and find success with. Play it however you like in the end

"Equal level mobs can kill you in 1 or 2 hits". That's true if it's back attacks from elites, or back attacks when you have low DP. I have 152 DP on my Tamer and never die when fighting mobs above my level (light red, dark red). Just as we want to focus on turning mobs around and utilizing back attack damage, we also need to be aware that often archers will use back attacks on us. My Witch died countless times before I learned this lesson. All archers must die ASAP lol.. and conveniently they have the lowest health and are quick to kill.

XD i dont even use bolt and jolt this way since most camps i find while grinding lvls have large monsters, what i learned is to always stay mobile threw strafe attacks, -> + rm, bolt, jolt, space bar, s+lm, repeat till shit dies or is low enough to roar. pretty much anything that keeps me in 1 place for more than 1sec seems to be a nono alteast while lvling. maybe casuse im always fighting things with purple names ( im lvl 30 and still cant figure out how many lvls ahead of me that means).

+Gods Tribute strafe attacks do pretty low damage. try using flash/pole and bot and jolt more, ur gonna have to learn to use them for endgame.

+Lucas Pollet (Grisildor) Tamer sucks, go Wizard. The top guilds are telling people to reroll from tamers because they're bad. In his previous videos, he mentions how easy it is to farm/grind/etc, but wizard has the best mounted combat, as in they're very good and viable in PVP whilst on a mount. Wizard and ranger are both better farmers than tamer and better in PVP.

you have to go into it as a combat skill thing, im a 55 tamer but i still havnt found much good use for the mount other than getting to places. I rarely fight on it because i find it much too difficult and dangerous. and im not even sure if its good

Too bad 5 of our Skills are broke and the Pet is riddled with bugs. But hey, that's KR developers! Also note that DP for Tamers is NOT 'damage absorbtion'. It is Dodge/Evasion only. So taking hits you will get hit the same if it isn't evaded.

Go out and try it on mobs. When you remove the all DP items you still take the same amount of damage. When you put the gear back on you don't get hit as much. DP in this game is pretty damn retarded

It's not that it's bad xD Just remember to keep your attacks flowing. They can't hit you if you keep moving. Stay mobile, keep your gear up to date. You'll do fine
