I will also like to add. If you are very careless, you lose things very easily, pls don't even think of going to Canada. In 2014 misplaced my school I'd and bus pass 3 times. I had to use my pocket money to bail myself out. I was broke for weeks. I suffered greatly. I also misplaced my apartment key one time, I had to sleep in the lobby overnight, until we got a call that it had been found. In Canada you will suffer for every error you make, and also things that we take for granted here (in Nigeria) like punctuality, you will pay dearly for. Unlearning and relearning is the only way out

I’m a Canadian and it was really neat to see how immigrants see our society. I think you really got it right when you said that Canadians are into equality between people of different status, gender, sexuality etc. You didn’t complain about winter as much as I expected. I’m born here and I F**ing hate winter so much, I don’t know how foreigners deal with it. Another thing that some immigrants learn when they come here is how differently we raise our kids. Like if you shout at your kids or spank them Canadians will call child protective services. I’m always gentle with my daughter but one day she was really not listening and hiding in the store from me, so I said her whole name just loud enough for her to hear me and everyone in the store looked at me funny 😂. She slinked out from behind a clothing rack and was mortified that I called her out like that.
@ucheokoroafor82733 жыл бұрын
We come from a country (Nigeria) with so many problems that make your harsh Canadian winters feel like a slight inconvenience. Nigeria has a lot of oil and natural resources, yet the country is filled with rampant poverty and bad roads. Our politicians are looting the oil money to buy mansions and luxury vehicles. Recently, soldiers in Nigeria killed a hundred peaceful protesters and the government said no lives were lost. I slept with an escort who said she had a degree in Banking and Finance but couldn't find a job.

And by the way forget dating app (na mix of human, dogs and animals dey there). Unless you don't care about what the wrong partner (esp. woman) can do to you in Canada, then you can as well get on the street and marry anyone.
