Fes is located in the north of Morocco. I had a great desire to visit him to see his Medina, which is one of the oldest in the world. The narrow streets are like a maze. We didn't have much time and decided to tour part of the city with a local guide. There were only 4 of us in the group. We and two young men from Germany. The weather was cold, windy and rainy. Coming from sunny Marrakech I was not prepared for it. Much of my luggage was left in Marrakesh and I was dying of cold. I had to buy a warm garment, which looks a lot like a carpet and has the characteristic pointed hoods here. The tour was very interesting and intense. One can easily see all these places without a guide, but it will take more time, and it is always more interesting when there is someone to tell you.
The next day we left Fes and after a 3 hour journey we reached Chefchaouen or better known as the "Blue City". At first, it was not part of our plans because it seemed too touristy to me, and we had limited time. But we thought about it and now I don't regret at all that we went there. It is curious to see. It's beautiful and definitely something different. The city is surrounded by mountains, everything was green, and the road was full of orange and olive trees. The landscapes I saw completely changed my perception of Morocco. We traveled in a small bus. There were a few more people, even people from Peru 😊. In Chefchaouen, everyone fends for themselves, which I really liked. The agency only takes care of the transport and does not include a guide, but one is not necessary. It was an intense ride and it ended quickly.
I wished I had a little more time in Fes, but we had to head to the airport and return to Marrakech.
Stay tuned for the next videos from Morocco.
