You have an even worse idea of what's happening when you're playing! You have to choose between looking at the ability procced to the right, the battles to the left and playing the actual rhythm game.

I pay absolutely 0 attention to anything except the rhythm game when playing. I just use parties that people say are good and then at the end assess: did I complete the quest? Yes? Good. And then I move on. Conceptually I love how they integrated RPG mechanics into a rhythm game but it's a complete non-factor when I actually play the game.

Shame the excess damage doesn't carry into the next mob/mobs anymore that made farming items nuts and Shantotto is still nice but she was absolutely nerfed into the ground :< and I love when other people forget Provoke exists and as you show it's BROKEN.

You probably did more than that. You just didn't put enough info on your screen. 99,999 isn't the DMG cap but the visual DMG cap. You can see the real DMG dealt by activating the "Direct info"
