Dragons dream is such a lethal stand..before we were told that stands that control time are the strongest..but in fact those who control fate is even stronger because it is inevitable but usually they cannot be used, such as toth and rolling stones..and dd, is the closest thing to the stand that controlled fate that can actually be used..this fight between ff and this piss drinking geezer is easily my favourite
@NewNecro2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, controlling time is the closest thing you have to controlling fate, as fate/luck stands cannot control the outcome but only make it more or less favourable by you receiving the information. Diavolo was pretty close to the best since he had a fate/time combo abilities until GER happened; he could escape any bad fate in short term for himself while others retained it.
@joshuakim52402 жыл бұрын
It should also be noted that Dragon's Dream is also a risky stand to use because it can provide all of its benefits to the opponent and even outright tells the opponent to do so and how to (the only thing stopping them is from suspecting that it's trying to deceive them). Funnily enough, Buccarati's anti-lying quirk would have made him the best hard counter by just knowing that Dragon's Dream isn't lying to him and just stepping into the lucky zones he's being told about, but he's been dead for a while at this point.

Dd : Will get out of it unscatched, and the shooter dies shooting each other..🤣 And kc is vulnerable to aoe stands like weather report (who doesnt anyway) but dd, as long as you can protect the safe spot, then even aoe stands are useless.. Then again, if Kenzo and diavolo Duke it out, kc Will win easy, since it knows where the opponent weak spot and strike it at any Times thanks to its prediction ability..

This stand is crazy, nigh invincible. There’s only two ways to consistently beat it: A) Create a situation in which luck is a non-factor. If you can guarantee a positive outcome, his ability becomes irrelevant. For instance, stopping time would be a guaranteed win condition. B) Trip up the user and have them misread their stand. This is tough to do, but if F.F was capable, other stand users should be more than capable. In theory, you could also just use the Joestar Secret Technique and hightail it, since this stand has zero offensive utility. Stands that are powerful up close also serve as a decent counter for this same reason, as luck can only do so much for a human against something like Star Platinum.
@ChrisNachoss2 жыл бұрын
yes, granted you know all that, this fight should be easy
@Connor_Kirkpatrick2 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisNachoss Not for F.F specifically. Running is off the table with Jolyne crippled, so the easy way is gone. Due to the lack of water, the only thing her stand is capable of is the gun, which is hilariously ineffective when it comes to guaranteeing a good outcome. With poor enough luck, every shot will miss, and that’s exactly what happened. Someone like Jolyne would have had a much better matchup
@ForgottenFafnir2 жыл бұрын
It's greatest weakness is that it's ability can only target one person at a time, barring the user themselves. Meaning if you're reliant solely on DD to pinpoint and attack your foes, another might be able to attack you while you're distracted. Honestly having 'can only OTK one person at a time' as a weakness shows how powerful this stand can be in the right hands. If the Dragon itself didn't constantly tell your opponent everything to 'keep things fair', it would be the perfect assassination stand, you'd easily be able to take out an opponent before they even realise you're a threat
@Connor_Kirkpatrick2 жыл бұрын

Everyone likes Poco Loco's Stand, too, which I don't understand. That Stand and Dragon's dream works similarly. They both control luck.
@gamerdude75762 жыл бұрын
From what I understand there wasn't enough space in the manga to properly explain/demonstate Dragons Dreams ability and how it worked, coupled with the fact that feng shui is a somewhat nebulous topic that not many people know or actively engage in, and the result is the stand being considered BS by the fandom until this fight was animated, similar to king crimson.
@Lucifer_Nihilum2 жыл бұрын
DD doesn't control luck, it merely reads luck. By allowing the user to act on luck, they interact with fate and manipulate it slightly. DD is just a hyper specialized version of Foresight.

@@Lucifer_Nihilum really its not even that, Kenzo guesses what his opponent decides to do and then decides what he wants to do, then asks DD where he needs to be and where he needs to hit to do maximum damage while having 0 risk of getting countered before, during or after his attack. The thing that has always puzzled me is that does Feng Shui actually exist in the JoJo universe as a constant, with this stand able to access it and take advantage of it, or is it the stand that makes feng shui real while it's being used to read the lucky/unlucky directions?
@ChrisNachoss Жыл бұрын
I think Feng Shui exists in Jojo and is a real force. There are a few arguments that make me think so. 1. In Jojo we can see that such things as fate, gravity (between people) are actual real forces that we can see proof of. So seeing Feng Shui as a real thing would not be unfitting. 2. Anasui noticed how the stand revolves around the concept of Feng Shui, so we can be sure it at least is known in Jojo verse. 3. It is said that Kenzou didn't get his stand from a disc or arrow, he got it by perfecting assassination Feng Shui, so if he practiced Feng Shui before he got his stand that means it already existed and was not created by the stand.

The way Feng Shui is described, I had the impression it’s simply the flow of nature. Cause, effect, and consequences all result from this flow, and Feng Shui is the way to affect this flow in favorable ways. Like wind and water flowing through a valley, everything in the universe moves forward in some manner, and whenever there’s something in the way, it turns. Put a concrete divider between yourself and a bullet, and you can avoid potential death. Leave a room when you feel a shift in temperature or an unusual scent and you could avoid a terrorist’s suicide bombing. The philosophy behind Feng Shui could potentially be the reason behind the various myths surrounding ESP, which is essentially made-up bullshit compared to a massive cavalcade of occurrences and/or circumstances within a particular environment one could use to deduce a potential outcome. Which is exactly why fortune telling and Horology is still a business to this day. :3

The stand lets you know where the most luckiest point is and where the most unluckiest point is. The issue though is being able to understand the stand being it requires a understanding of the technique like the magnitude of an area.

Did FF's actress voice hayato from diamond is unbreakable?
With a bit of alteration Dragon's Dream could be a main villain stand with how powerful it could become.

Indeed but it still can not compete with other op stand abilities like time stop.

I really didn't like how Kenzou gets defeated. It's too humiliating. Guy is 78, didn't have a wickedly op stand (hell it wasn't even on his side), wasn't really arrogant (only confident), takes on three stand users and get put through a humiliation conga...

They implied that he deserved it from his criminal background (being a cult leader and organizing a mass suicide).

Basically Dragon's Dream has 2 abilities: - It allows one to see their lucky directions/spots. Standing in these places/attacking from these directions increases their luck exponentially. - It can manifest one's bad direction/spot. Any attack or objects sent toward this "unlucky spot" will cause harm to the person, be it from the enemy or even from themselves as seen by F.F's arm touching her unlucky spot and suffering from it.

How does FF Drown if she is plancton and literally needs water? Does she even need to breathe at all? This confused me a lot
@ChrisNachossАй бұрын
ff is a plankton and needs water to live, yes. FF was inside of the body of Atroe, to keep that body "alive" it needs oxygen, so if the body drowns it cannot get oxygen to move it's muscles and therefore FF would need to leave that body. So overall FF is immune to drowning but the body she is controling isn't.

Here's the thing, pretty much everyone they fight in Part 6 actually has LESS experience with their stands than the protagonists. Kenzou summoning the dragon to "defend" him is evidence. It... can't really.
