@@Person1................68 Yes. Because there isn't anymore well writen sadly, it was very easy for someone to come one day such as Natsuko ishikawa and beat every single generic vilain the series always had thus far with an actual well writen and understandable antagonist.
11:48 I love him, he just ran like that without giving a fuck.

@@Bongaboi151 I don't feel that the English version has more than 2 moods tbh: arrogant and angry. There are so many more layers to this Emet-Selch.

@@Tenkuu-san Er, what? He's angry a total of once during the whole thing. He is smarmy, sarcastic, whimsical, playfully arrogant, and many more things throughout the rest. If you don't hear it then I'd question your understanding, not the dub. His voice is constantly shifting between different things almost constantly.

@@RopeDrink Nope, like I said, it all comes off as arrogance in the English version when he's not angry. In general, the voice actor sounds fairly flat, especially compared to the Japanese one. I've compared every single spoken line of his in both versions, the English version is not bad, but simply does not compare with the Japanese version.

@@Tenkuu-san I realize this is two years ago but I can't help saying that I disagree. While I love both, I prefer the English dub more - and this coming from someone who generally likes JP VAs more. The English dub might sound arrogant I'd give you that, but it's the perfect foil for a character who existed for eons and conquered the known world. Brings him an extra layer of complexity when he helps out seemingly against his will or when he's overcome by intense emotion. Anyway, it all comes down to preference.
