What they should have done in regards to poison/Yuffie is give her her own debuff that does damage over time based on her stats, either PATK, MATK, or both. It would have made her stand out more on her own and not have a completely useless weapon against the vast majority of bosses. DOTs(Damage over time), is a staple in a TON of games. They are meant as something you work to keep on the enemy at all times so the damage slowly adds up. They pretty much made Yuffie how I was hoping they would in regards to her doing things that nobody else can, but I don't think they made her as well as they should have.

Poison sounds like one of those things that doesn't work all the time, but when it works, it fucking works. It makes sense that they would null out a very strong strategy sometimes. It's like in opera omnia when they started making bosses delay immune because if they didn't we could just do the whole flight without the boss taking turns.

Kinda reminds me of what Dokkan Battle did with Stun. They first made Stun the most desired and OP skill. Then they made literally every boss immune to it down the road. Only we're already starting with most bosses immune to poison.

Leveled yuffie and maxed out her poison weapon. The poison does not always apply to enemies. I have had to use poison up to 3 times, in one instance, in order to see it apply to the enemy that had no immunity to poison. This leads me to believe that while some enemies are not immune to it, they might have different chance to resist being poisoned. Whoever my yuffie is still not maxed level, so maybe that will factor in down the road. However, it is highly unlikely because the growth tree focuses on base stats and limits upgrades, not chance of abilities to land a hit.

Thank you for covering this. I agree. Poison doesn't seem interesting to me in the least simply because most big and important bosses are immune to it. Same thing as with the Stun weapon ability where most bosses are immune, but at least Poison is guaranteed to work unlike Stun that has 20-30% to ever work. Also 2% ever 5seconds with 30sec max duration doesn't seem bad. So over 30 sec it'll deal around 10-12% of full hp. It isn't bad but then again, most important bosses are immune so this ability doesn't seem very worth investing into when you have normal phys/mag weapons that give you always that consistent damage. By the way I've heard Yuffie's new R Ability that increases buff/debuff duration, doesn't affect Poison status. So it makes it even less appealing to be honest. I thought Poison will count as a debuff and therefore will be affected by that R Ability, so you could fully invest into it and be able to inflict Poison for 1-2min. But someone in the discord said that it doesn't affect Poison. It's not a huge deal because you just have to cast Poison again every 24-30 seconds instead every minute, but still. Makes it even less appealing.

Poison ticks will be an effective way to calculate a boss's max HP. We used to do this in mobius 😄

Hey Payne do you recommend getting the three elemental breach materias from the crisis metal shop? So far I've only gotten the mythril ore and the buster sword copies. I'm not always able to S+ the very hard mode dungeons which is why I've held off on getting those materias.

yes absolutely grab those 3 in case u get them with good rolls but also they are useful! before the buster sword, those were the ONLY 3 things to get outside the mythril ore

We'll see how many Blue Crystals I can save up before her banner is about to end, I finished off getting the Garunteed 2nd Stamp weapon on the New years banner, now I'm either going to save up for future banners (mostly F2P typically just Season pass) or if on the last day I dump onto Yuffie's Banner or not. I do think that outfit might be worth it alone though just for future builds.

Something that I wanted to point out: Poison is helpful (provided there is no immunity) on a support character, because it works irrespective of the DPS power of the character, since it ticks based on the HP of the boss, not the damage output of the character that lands it. You can have a pure support character that is there only to buff/debuff, but land a DOT on a boss for passive damage, which frees weapon slots for DPS. As such, I see uses to it, albeit narrow ones. However, if a future Crash/Ranked Dungeon allows for such a strategy it can become crucial. Would I invest in it? No. Do I like it as an option on a support character? Absolutely. Would I prefer it was buffed by the duration buff from Yuffie's gear/weapons? Definitely, but it is what it is. As for Yuffie as a unit in general, it is too early to tell, as for now she is meh... she is good for whales to have options, she is good for new players and this is the current banner so anything current is easier to obtain than previous stuff, but for people wanting to min/max their resources, she is very narrow to be worth investing into. That said, IF one does, the, banner gear complements what she will be doing anyway, so 100% it is worth getting it. As is maxing out 4 Point Shuriken to have available as a subweapon on ANY other character that is used as support.

I'm building yuffie in case we ever get a haste materia or a weapon that grants hastega . Also, I'm predicting Elena and Rude will be the next premium bosses for the next ranking event. Just my opinion since we haven't seen a fire or wind event in a minute

I think people are going to regret not going for the outfit and the banner weapon. If you take a look at the opening banner for Cloud Murasame and lighting garb which is the staple of the character and is used the most. Sephiroth Edged Wings and ice garb his most used and a staple of his character. Yuffie is all about buff/debuff extension time and the devs are telling us that this is how this unit is going to be run. 3 weapons with element debuff which is meant to be extended by the outfit and the way yuffie is built. Artic Star a double p attack buff with a small heal once again based off buff extension. 6 of her weapons have to do with some kind of buff or debuff which is by design because that is what they want her to be. She won't be a main dps so Arcanum outfits aren't going to be that effective. I pulled for the costume and weapon and they are deadly the mid p attack buff lasts most fights with 1 buff at the beginning. When going into fights the AI for Yuffie will use the Artic Star buff first on the highest p attack unit which shows that the devs programmed her to be a buffer/debuffer first and for most. I think most of her upcoming weapons will be with a buff or debuff of some kind which the outfit will work great for.

Unfortunately you want to finish off bosses quickly before they use high damage skills. With low dmg ticks and almost only every 5 seconds, it is not viable.

It takes time and yes OB is huge especially ob6. I have been playing f2p since day 1 and still don't have an OB6 from summons but almost there for a few!

Also having trouble scaling up my cloud hes in lvl 65 but power lvl is still 50,000 cant seem to get him any higher even with his nods all filled up can someone help feel like im not using him properly or any of my characters 😅

You need to work on materia and equipment. Stacking sub weapons to get to lvl 7 patk and then focusing on atk and whatever costume potency (fire, lightning or just physical ability potential)... Hp increases power level quickly but there are diminishing returns after like 5-6k Just pay attention to your r. Abilities, you want to stack them up to max level but don't waste slots on weapons you don't need. For example if you already have 55 patk you don't need anymore weapons with patk you would switch to regular ATK

I think Yuffie is a sub dps character. So I cant compare her with Cloud or Sephiroth raw damage. My opinion is how good she is as a sub dps and support at the same time.

At this point i didnt care about saving the blue crystals it gets kinda boring waiting for the best banner so I just used my 30k crystals pulling on her banner, not because of her stuff but more for my other characters. I have a lot of weapons at OB5 and now got them to OB6. I got all of her weapons too except for the poison weapon tho. Maybe her costume and kit will be useful later but who knows. 😂😂
