Its suppose to be. Ff7 and ff10 are in the same universe. Chronically 10 is before 7. The kid named Shinra in ffx-2 who wanted to build a rocket ship successfully did later in his life left Spira and landed on Gaia. And founded Shinra Co. Many years ago. A vintage pic of him is in the Shinra museum in remake when you are doing the tour. No joke

It's just supposed to be a fun idea and not the lore.
