A ton of the FFBE player base is still in the mourning phase for something that was so prevalent for so long in our lives. FFBE was the first gacha I really got into, some of the highest highs with random collabs like Katy Perry and Ariana. I think the fanfests were the most ambitious and exciting of all the mobile games I've played

You know, as much as people meme on the Ariana stuff I actually enjoyed that period of the game. My gf at the time tried it out and really got into it during that! It was a weird time but it was fun. I still remember that song that played too and it might be the only ariana song I could actually pick out and tell you its her! haha

So true regarding limited VCs. Really bled for the tifa ac and seifer card. I pitied those cards and need to use viz to level up coz we have no choice! Keep it up bro. Cheers!

I wanted to also mention how those events used to always have 1 of the 3 VCs as a free VC in the past and lately all 3 cards are gacha pull cards which is just SO draining! The vid was so long though so I left some small specific stuff like that out. Like FF7ac had 3 gacha cards but the collab 1 year earlier, FMA, had 3 cards but one was free from a raid. For an example. We never seem to get that treatment any more. I think the Mana collab coming up also has 3 pay only cards too but I could be wrong on that one I'm not 100% sure. I hope I am wrong. lol

They should push out a single player paid version. 40+ USD. Make it entirely singleplayer, similar to how Megaman XDive did it. I'd pay it just so I can play FFBE going forward

I started in 2016 and played regularly until the start of the NV era and the devs harebrained decision to release 4 consecutive king mogs prior to its arrival while skipping raids and story events. I stopped for a while then returned but was just playing sporadically due to how I'm not a fan of the NV mechanics, where you need more dupes to EX-3 a unit but before you can do, if the unit is a DPS, its already powercrept. I already noticed that EoS is looming on how the devs were cutting content and the last straw for me was skipping the NVAs of the OG units. Upon realizing that, I decided to do a firesale of my lapis on Clive's banner and managed to make him EX-3. After that, I finally deleted the game. I was initially interested in WoTV but after I experienced how Gumi made harebrained decisions for FFBE GL, I decided from there that I wouldn't play any game that Gumi is the developer.

Ffbe looks like brave frontier. And Wotv just looks like alchemist code. So, its EoS soon. Then, SQEX will close any mobile game for global. They're maybe focused on console game.

FFBE lasted a lot longer than i thought tbh. I'm on a same page. I used to play this daily and stopped around the time neo visions came out. I still remember most of season 1 and 2. Barely remember much of season 3 though.

Well. If their big title like brave frontier and FFBE have shut down and WoTV isnt doing that well.. Then you should be worried... atleast the global version of the game. Since it seem like FFBE jp is still around

Yeah this is true. I think that WOTV JP and GL are basically the same game though so should be way easier to keep both alive. FFBE JP and GL were so different that it took multiple teams to keep the GL game up. This might help. Its definitely still possible one will shut down and the other stays up though.

i first quit for the first time when lv 120 came out on wotv, came back to play again once dark sephiroth came out and sticked for a while... i quit for the 2nd time when holo visions came out and came back when i got wind of fire sephiroth coming out... i didnt stick long... it was disgusting. i was lucky for my pulls and got sephiroth and cloud but since it was so hard and expensive to get holo vision cards, i didnt get any single one of them... my guildies told me i should have pulled for the VCs but for me its not about the vcs but the characters which motivated me to play. but since my fire power was lacking since i do not have any of the optimized cards for sephi and cloud, i just quit right away as soon as sword of convalaria came out... this game is outright abusive and predatory and i dont like the feeling of getting milked dry. i spent too much already even before i quit the first time. i love this game but too bad devs/publisher hates the playerbase and just wants to milk them dry until EOS.

This is one of the things I was trying to say in the video but I'm just terrible with words. Units are the 100% fun exciting thing to pull for. We play the game for the units. (Most of us) Cards are cool but never even close to as fun to pull as a unit. You could maybe make the argument for some Espers since they are pretty sweet too but just the normal cards? Nah! I know they are needed but they don't need to be so painful!

all complaint aside, what really made me stop playing WoTV is simply just how bad squeenix treats its live service game like I know it costs money, but they just treat the game like a money cow instead of like treating the game and its players like with care these games probably costs way less than like forspoken stuff , but the moment it fails their expectation, guillotine it is I played so many squeenix gacha and have experienced so many shutdowns in that era from so many years i play mobile games , it sucks, it sucks so much knowing the next day you can just hear your game is shutting down just like that

Holo Vc, now U can even buy featured character for 12k paid viz lol 😂 wotv is really going down in my opinion, liked this game, but now, every new character is meta, and U should pull every week to keep up in the arena haha, who cares. I played ffbe for years as well and I wound up quitting when they had kingdom hearts Sephiroth and Cloud come out. I had like just barely acquired the KH Sephiroth and realized how insanely p2w the game was becoming and I believe I was tired of the monotony of the game so I quit it flat out. I knew wotv coming up was the same company and tried my best to not play it because it would be the same shit, super costly. However the tactics units especially Orlandeau pulled me into the game. And back then Claic played and I enjoyed watching him from ffbe. So I came into wotv, when Odin came I wound up spending a lot and was like fuck, I refunded my money and then got suspended for like a month. Should have quit then, however I made a 2nd account lol then played both for over a year till I quit my 2nd account. Still playing wotv but it's not nearly as enjoyable as it was and I have seen a huge decline in them caring about their players and generosity. Since the 2.5 year mark it's been a huge decline for the game. That's where they stopped giving us those vis back banners as well, those were a reason to save up 70k vis even if I never won the main bonuses it's still decent when you do it. The road to world wide bullshit was just that and they really stopped caring about us and the game became even more costly. Only way to keep up with back to back 100 cost units was to pay $. They stopped giving us hiroki gifts and now I can't even background farm anymore because my steady supply of large energy pots has almost depleted whereas before I always had like 1000. There are times I want them to close the game because it's quite neglected and still way too costly. If you check the shops they got shit like red and yellow orbs for vis still like wtf? I got like 20k of those they in no way should cost visiore at all. Then the god damn hollow vcs not taking vision stars is a huge F. Game needs a major revamp to keep their playerbase and they just are not trying. It's bare minimum effort from the devs. We've lost lots of content creators like Diggs that I always watched first for anything and now even Auronnj seems to be putting in less effort for Wotv when it was his main game for over 4 years.

Yeah so they ended English Voice acting at the beginning of the years so probably like 4-6ish months ago. All the english voice acting in the game is still there but nothing new has it so all the new stuff is jp only.

Neo visions was the nail in the coffin for me once those came out I stopped spending I put up with this game for a very long time with all the cash grabs and 9 out of 10 units being useless What's the point to pulling when all you're gonna get is a bunch of junk and maybe one out of a 100 units is actually usable for more than 2 weeks Imagine playing a game you get to end game and the collaboration that you're pulling on just does not drop one item to max out that character I still need 1CD for Ariana on my sons FFBE account

I saw this miles away but people refused to believe me . Wotv may have a few more years left at most but its def gonna follow suit. I think ffbe deserves a standalone console game that does not rely on gacha elements . The story was so awful to read and super cringe , but it can be fleshed out if they gave it a proper budget

I only did Season 1 and 2 but they would definitely be worthy of a single player game! If that kind of storytelling helt up for the rest of the seasons as well thats great. I know that will never happen but it would be really cool!

I actually like the Veritas stuff in the game since its all free and gives us something to work for. The ones from Guild Battle (Earth and Lightning) are kinda annoying though and I assumed extra so for people in lower ranked guilds. Those 2 should be reworked. The rest however seem to be decently fast to build only taking a couple months. I wouldn't argue if they sped up the process for them all though!

I'm really not doom and glooming. I love wotv and would love to see it last. I play it every day and I hardly even make content on it. But there is a clear sign of player drop off with guilds just losing players like crazy. Something really needs to change and if you can't see that I don't know what to tell you!
