An excellent video, and the black and white vignette at Snowdon Ranger does provide a wonderful nostalgic feeling. Despite being gone for decades, Russell looks right at home on the old NWNGR.

There was nostalgia in abundance throughout the weekend but none more so than with Russell at home in the valley, with hills shrouded in mist and drizzle - and around Snowdon Ranger where there were few others to witness the moment.

Converting to black and white can seem a risky move - your reassurance is appreciated!

Hi. The filming at 1.15 looked so evocative and reminded one of typical steam days of long ago. Well done and thank you for sharing.

Pleased you liked the video. Agree with your comment .....for just a moment it could be any steam loco in the 60s climbing a gradient in upland Britain

Sorry, me again. The black and white shots are pure magic.

I did consider making the whole video in black and white - I might create a second video of the classic moments and do that purely without colour. Thanks for your comment.

That would be a great idea. Black and white creates a period impression that reflects earlier era's.
