Wow what a sight it must have been to see a couple of triple headers! If only this could happen all the time! At least the crews were nice enough to give a wave at the start :)

Sweet a duplex! Too bad I live in the Midwest United States and don't get to see much for steam. Things like this make me wish I lived in England.

This is Wales. But from Manchester/Manceinion it's 2 and a half to three hour drive or maybe a bit more by rail to Porthmadog. If you go there people speak to you in Welsh first so it is appreciated if one can learn some phrases.

9:50 isn’t that locomotive from Darjeeling Himalayan Railway ? I have never seen these locomotives with tender on DHR. I’m seeing this locomotive with tender for the first time. 15:29 that coach looks like the ones used on Strasburg Railroad in Pennsylvania

Its a replica from the DHR :)

First or all were did B794(the DHR loco) get that tender from and the DHR loco is actually B794, oh annnnnnd were is B794's rerailing stick P.s nice vid
@RailAdventUK7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. We are glad you enjoyed the video. We aren't sure where the tender has come from. The DHR Loco runs on a private railway normally so is out of public sight until it comes on a visit. We also don't have any idea of where the rerailing stick is (sorry we aren't much help!) - if you click this link, does it help at all? www.festipedia.org.uk/wiki/Sharp_Stewart_0-4-0ST_No_19

so there is a Tan-y-bwlch, but the corris railway also has tan-y-coed, are those 2 places related, or close to each other?
@RailAdventUK7 жыл бұрын
Nope, Tanybwlch is in North Wales, whereas, Tanycoed is in Mid Wales, near Tywyn

What happened at Tanygrisiau? The train seems to leave without the DLGs fireman
@RailAdventUK8 жыл бұрын
+Nick Young Hi Nick, DLG's fireman was controlling the crossing and got on just out of the shot - its the reason why they didn't shot off at great speed! Regards, Michael
@autisticadventuressteam838 жыл бұрын
+RailAdvent He wouldn't be controlling the crossing (it is initiated automatically by a treadle in the track between the points and Cwmorthin Bridge), he'd be holding over the train operated trailable points as the England loco tenders are deemed too light to push the blades across as the leading vehicle (the only such points on the FR are at Tanygrisiau and are heavier rail than those on the WHR). He would have the TOTP cabinet open with handle on the mechanism, hold the points in the reverse position and as soon as Palmerston's tender has passed would put the handle back in the cabinet, lock it up and climb onto DLG as it passed. :)

Kashi Kukku Replica of the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes's Jackson & Sharp Parlour Car No 9 "Rangeley", but with larger platform, slightly shorter overall length, full kitchen, dual brakes, and no spinning Pullman Parlour Chairs instead highback chairs that block the windows, hence the larger platform. Owned by the former CEO of Chiltern. The car looks beautiful, especially since the real car is now confined to a museum in Maine, and has been for 25 years.
