- when you welcome the guest you SHOULDN'T behind the hostess desk. rather, you need to step up in front with welcoming body language. Leave the computer leave the mouse

Technically, It's not possible if you are handling reception and hosting guests at the same time.

The body language, you should stand on your own rather than having support of wall or table while doing conversation with guest,,, The usage of words,, should be polite and requesting mood. Hello is not a part of greeting, guest should be greeted according time and name.

What do you mean guests should be greeted according to time and name..
@W5TA4 ай бұрын
@@toplobster1040 maybe they mean instead of a plain "Hello" try morning/evening greetings and straight up address the guests by their names (+mr/mrs/ms) may help them feel further acknowledged and come off as a warmer welcome still in professional way. dont know lol i havent started yet. just my two cents seeing you left your comment a week ago.

Do hosts also serve food and buss tables isn't that what the bussers and server's are for. I thought hosts are only strictly in the front Also what if you never dealt with transactions
