im about as far as it gets from high level, but ive found the most basic, easiest trip i ever learned, "the idiot trip" (from your back, grab a standing opponents ankles, push their hips with both feet and watch them fall on their ass), has worked almost every single time ive tried it. Think i learned it on my first day. Hit someone with it and watch the look of frustration on their face as they think "i cant believe i got hit with that fucking trip" lol. Bread and butter stuff is useful at every level it seems

i loved training in the Gi but i prefer nogi nowadays. Saves a lot of wear and tear on the fingers and jts faster and more enjoyable to me. I dont miss wearing a 5kg oversized sweatrag while rolling lmao
