Excellent video very helpful. I won’t be putting my body on until end of summer. So I marked this video for when I’m fitting the doors. You’ve built a really nice Cobra thanks for sharing 👍

I have an older Herb Adams Cobra, which is basically a racecar chassis with a body. Had to figure out a LOT of details. GREAT pointers here!

Thanks for taking time to outline your insights on the body/door fitment issue. This video is great reference material a bit down the road.

Gladly! Hope it helps when you get to that point. They are made out to be worse than they really are I found, with so many ways to adjust things it is possible to get a really nice fit.

Well-made and presented video. 0:17 I would have to cut out the top of the door to accommodate my arm and shoulder for two handed steering. A solution to a problem could be 6 of one or a half dozen of another!

Yes, many options there. Stock it's one of those "This is how you will drive me" setups, but all in all it is comfy.

beautiful car! I had the same issues with the driver side door 10 years ago on my early mk4

Thanks! Yea, seems to be a standard issue. Makes you wonder why it has not been improved on over time.

Nicely done and well presented video. I had considerable help with the body work but realized afterward it is not quite as intimidating as I thought it would be. Lots of patience and a good eye for fitment are the core "tools" needed. I MIGHT do the body work (everything but paint) if I ever did another FFR car. You didn't say this, but the doors required the most work on the Mk4. Congratulations.

Thanks, patience is for sure needed on these. I think at first the bodywork on these can be intimidating but once into it, I found it not too bad.

I'm looking to order a kit in this coming spring. I have zero body/paint experience and those parts have me pretty intimated. However I also am not crazy about the extra costs involved with taking it somewhere professional (or even worse taking it somewhere not professional). I appreciate the video though. maybe it won't be to bad.
