I think the commentators forgot Darkrai could heal. Rokso didn't, and that's likely why he went in. Had he let off to run the clock down, Jin could have healed and potentially chipped Garchomp and slightly edged him out in HP%.

Now that I'm thinking, Garchomp is the only Dragon Type in the game, without counting Mega Charizard X and Mega Sceptile, we should have Haxorus or another Pokémon already 😟 as DLC, because Pokken has that potential

Jay Kalinka Imagine facing a Gengar with Machamp or Lucario. It just doesn't work for a fighting game.

They have to ignore typing, because incorporating that would simply be unfun in a fighting game, where it's supposed to be about your skill with a character, and knowing what your opponent's character can do, in a level playing field.

That would ruin the game. This is a fast paced fighting game, not a turn based strategy game.

Typings work well for the mainline Pokemon games because you have a team of Pokemon to switch out in case of type disadvantage, providing a fun layer of strategy. Not so much for a fighting game where you can only play as one Pokemon.
