FFXI - Dynamis-Bastok (D) Ninja Solo Mid Boss Battle Example and Strategy

Hey man, love your videos they have been really helpful. Particularly the Cyberlogic ones, I have been following the guide with my character. I just wanted to ask for your recommendation. I am a returning player, I used to play back in 2007-2011. When I quit I left my account to my BIL and he used it mainly as a buffer or healer and really hook up those jobs, I am talking relic weapon brd and such, GEO, WHM, SMN, BLM all really well geared. I didn't want to jump into my main characters since it has been sooo looong and wanted a fresh start. I decided to start a new character and get a feel of the game again. My plan was to level the ninja to farm stuff in endgame and eventually go back to my main character. What do you think, should I do something like that or just go back to main char as soon as I hit 99 and finish the missions?

I think your plan of starting over is a good one. I had no idea how much I would enjoy a second playthrough and am really liking it. By starting with Ninja you can really get everything you need with your other jobs. I find Thief is the best "second" job you can quickly level and equip with easy gear for treasure hunter. Between Ninja and Thief there is little you won't be able to accomplish for your other jobs.

How did you enter dyna D solo? Or did you enter with a group and the others left?

My two sons have accounts now that have access to Dynamis-D. They aren't quite ready to take on content like this yet with dad but they can at least get me in so that I can show off some of this stuff. Another way if you are looking to get in for a solo clear is to just Yell across the zones seeing if anyone wants to enter Dynamis-D. Once you enter you can disband and go about what you want to do. Only one of each NM and the boss will pop though so make sure you share your intentions for the run if you go this route.

How's the blade chi damage on blue pulls?

Truthfully it's not great in this type of setup which involves no boosted attack and Level 0 Nyame. However, I will be showing how to make that setup work in future episodes using my sons Corsair and Geomancer to show how to make it work as well as hopefully someday showing how good Nyame is... if I can ever get the darn set upgraded. :)
